In summary

Rancho San Marcos Golf Course is widely praised for its beautiful setting, well-maintained greens, and friendly staff, making it a favorite among locals and visitors alike. The 9-hole layout offers a challenging yet enjoyable experience, complemented by excellent practice facilities and unique amenities like tri-tip sandwiches on weekends. While some find the pricing for 9 holes to be on the higher side, the overall experience is considered worthwhile, with many expressing excitement about its reopening and restoration.

Love this course! Todd and the crew always makes us feel like family. My wife and I come here almost every weekend. If you love golf, great views, and good times, there's no better place to be. Oh and also we love the grass range. Could not recommend more!

Great place to golf. The course was in great condition tee to green. Beautiful surroundings. The staff was very helpful. The greens were very challenging. They were very fast but were in great shape. Too bad it's only 9 holes but it's worth checking out. Thanks guys.

One of the most beautiful places to play golf. The 9 hole golf course should not be missed if you live in Santa Barbara or are just visiting. The course was in beautiful condition and these greens will make you think. A lot of fun. And Friday through Sunday Manny and his crew make the best tri-tip sandwiches you will ever have with fresh salsas that are out of this world.

Really fun course. I great shape. Tee'd off at 12;30 on a Thursday and it was not crowded and the pace was perfect. Picturesque setting on the way to Chumash.

It’s opening! Stumbled in to the Friends and Family day. I think they will be taking tee times soon. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and the 9 hole track is beautiful all the way around. The long par 5 is certainly a challenging start! Lovey open driving range and you can hit off the grass. Hope it thrives.

A golfers golf course in a beautiful location. Beautiful drive to and from Santa Barbara. Course was in great shape, excellent conditions (finally drought free). Tee boxes, fairways, greens were as they should be, tight. If you don't have a window for 18, this is a great course for 9 that isn't an executive course, and still close to SB . Even then, I wanted to lap it again! So much fun! Go!

Pretty course and was glad that it was back open but it must have been purchased by a private equity firm at this point because I thought $40 was absurd for walking 9 holes but I just learned it has been raised to FORTY-FIVE United States war bucks (equivalent of $5 a hole to walk). Just a matter of time before they go out of business again, especially when you can golf a full 18 holes at Soule Park in Ojai for less ($44, $32 after 2pm, and a reverse-ridiculous $22! after 4pm).

Great 9 hole course on the 154. Greens are in fantastic condition along with the rest of the course. A+ putting and chipping areas as well.

The course was fun, fairways a little dry, but the greens were well taken care of. The whole staff was very friendly and welcoming. Overall great experience. I will definitely come back again.

It’s back! What a great job restoring the course to the one of the most well groomed courses in the area. The greens were perfect! While it’s only a 9-hole with no intent on restoring the back 9 for now, Rancho San Marcos will be a regular visit for me going forward. Easily walkable with the friendliest staff! Can’t wait for the next round!

Truly one of the BEST golf courses in California. If a Cowboy/Rancher were to design a links golf course, this is what you get. A fun, playable, challenging beautiful golf course. Not to mention the smell of fresh tri-tip being cooked for your turn/post round meal. I can’t recommend RSM enough and am so excited that it’s back open. Can’t wait to get back up and play it (I now live in OC) in it’s full glory!

I was able to visit the golf course two days in a row and Will tell you it’s way worth the drive to come out and play there. It’s absolutely gorgeous. The setting is perfect. Feels like a little oasis, so I highly recommend everyone to play it!
