In summary

Rancho Vista Golf Course is praised for its well-maintained greens, challenging layout, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice in the Palmdale Lancaster area. The course's restaurant and amenities, including live music and a scenic setting, add to its appeal. However, some visitors express frustration with the slow pace of play and inconsistent management of tee times, which can lead to extended rounds.

If I could give them more stars, I would. Can clearly see why they are an LA Top 10 golf course. You really owe it to yourself to make the drive out, believe me, you’ll be as pleasantly surprised as I was! Greens were impeccable, running true, fast and soft enough to accommodate most approach shots. Don’t be too greedy off the tee though. That DG don’t play!!! If you end up in there, just take ur medicine and get back to the fairway. Lunch was super, I had the chicken mango salad and am glad I did. Ask for Chris at the bar, he’ll take great care of you! Got lucky and was able to join the gr…

Typical day at Rancho, SLOW! Waiting every hole. Pace never picked up. Also, group in front giving lessons, so that doesn't help. Would be nice to have a skill level indicator when booking a tee time. Really tired of being paired with golfers who do not have the same etiquette. I pay just as much money to enjoy my round as the next player. Picture shows a group waiting on the tee box for the fairway to clear, with 3 groups waiting behind them.

Came for breakfast. Sat on the outside patio, the inside dining area was being remodeled I believe. The service was good and the view was very nice. The menu isn't very big but the food was delicious. Will be going back

It’s a very well maintained GC with rolling terrain and multiple hazards. It’s fun and challenging with its narrow fairways and desert areas. The staff are friendly and courteous. Good food and drinks at their restaurant. Refreshments are available on course. A relaxing round of golf and looking forward to book a tee time again and again…

Good golf course. Current conditions are great: fast greens, good turf coverage from tee to green. Reasonable prices.

RVGC is a beautiful golf course with a very nice clubhouse. The course is usually in great shape and plays at all levels. The clubhouse, which host weddings, proms, and any event you can imagine is large and beautiful. The restaurant is small but has an outdoor patio with extra seating that looks out over the driving range. Most evenings the locals fill the place and you can often catch nights with live music which is a plus. The service is great and the food is good, with a menu that has a little bit for anyone's taste. Definitely a cool little spot to hang out.

This course looks great at first sight! So many improvements needed: !!Grass range advertised!! but hitting OFF MATS, OFF CONCRETE for over a year now(grass closed winter 2024-never reopened), pricing changes every week(literally 3 wks in a row every friday different answer), no marshalls-DO NOT expect any pace of play(6hr rounds typical), range is not picked on any schedule (machine might run out of balls). Meaningful ownership/management is not present at this course. New golf carts equipped with GPS...that does not work. Carts are "out of bounds" or "off the path" making it diffcult to driv…

The course is in great shape. The greens run pretty fast right now and that is a good thing. The tee boxes are much better now. That used to be an issue about even levels when teeing off. The only challenge were the carts not having a plug in charger (the one on my cart was damaged - and these are new carts?), and the GPS screen not being active.

Not worth the $90; rock hard bunkers, weed roughs, and terrible pace of play. Nice 6 hr round with Marshalls not doing anything. Bunch of hacks taking chunks of grass with no repairs and no idea what golf etiquette is. This used to be the go-to course but now I’d rather play out in the middle of the Littlerock desert. Sad to see :/

I can give a darn about golf, but I love the restaurant on site. The staff are friendly, the location is clean, and the menu has a nice variety of food and drinks. Been coming here for years and always have a good time. Much better folks here than other places in town. They have live bands sometimes too. You can keep it healthy or pig out if you feel like it.

Ignore any and all negative reviews. This is the best Golf value In LA County by far. Like all LA County courses that are this exceptional, it is crowded Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Surprise. They keep this course in country club condition. The greens are dreamy. Every hole looks interesting from the tee box. The white tees are challenging and the black tees silence all those so-called scratch guys, but it is a very fair test of golf. The food is excellent, and in my opinion underpriced. Families with kids eat there so that should tell you everything. If you wanna complain, complain about the…

Beautiful course, great food, the guys at the pro shop are great!! Play is definitely slow.. need a marshal pushing the groups that are holding up the rest behind them. I know we all start somewhere but 5-6 hours is not a good pace to barely finish 14 holes….. besides the occasional slow play this place is great! The restaurant has excellent food and drinks and can’t complain about the sunsets!!
