In summary

Rideau Glen Golf Club is appreciated for its affordable pricing, friendly staff, and scenic, nature-rich setting, making it a pleasant choice for many golfers. The course offers a challenging layout with narrow fairways, but some visitors have expressed dissatisfaction with the condition of the greens and fairways, describing them as poorly maintained. Additionally, there are consistent complaints about the behavior of the course marshal, which some feel detracts from the overall experience.

To me this is a really nice course. It's quiet, not super busy, it's clean, it's not super easy but not super hard. Owner is super chill, they run cool little leagues. Golf carts are really solid. Pricing is super fair. I'd say this place is underrated. Thanks

My brothers, friends, and I have been golfing here since I was a kid, great prices, great staff, great vibes, and a great course. A lot of the holes have a narrow fairway, which makes it a pretty difficult course at times. I like the challenge compared to Equinelle down the road which is a lot more open so it’s not as much fun in my opinion, and it’s a lot more expensive. Cannot wait to get out again this summer. Love the Glen!

I went golfing with three friends, two of whom were women trying golf for the first time. We chose this course because it was affordable and booked a late afternoon tee time, thinking it would be a good place for beginners. We couldn't have been more wrong. There was no one behind us, so we took our time, offering tips to the new players but still playing at a reasonable pace. Everything was going smoothly until a marshal approached us out of nowhere, scolding us and saying, "The golf course isn't a playground; it's for golfing." At first, I thought he was joking, but he was serious. When I…

You get what you pay for… which is fine. The course is what it is… we had a nice day until we met the Marshall (we were there on Friday July 5 at 3pm). The entire game we were mindful of where to drive with our golf carts until one hole where we missed the sign but were about 5 feet from the cart path. We were putting the hole when the Marshall came driving in yelling at us to move our carts without even saying hi or anything. He was completely rude. For a course that was empty all day, you would think they would be nicer to people trying the course for the first time. WILL NOT BE BACK.

This is a good course and the price is very manageable. The greens and fairways are definitely not amazing but still really playable. Very little variability as far as length of the holes. There are some challenging holes with blind shots that force you to be slightly creative.

An absolute joke of a golf course. Will take your money and then kick you off the course early bc they want their carts back and though we were told we had until 7. Super rude. Save your money not even worth the pathetic buck a hole to play.

Course is okay, get what you pay for. Marshall is not very nice, scolded us for driving to the first tee to empty our garbage cause there wasn't a garbage anywhere else in the parking lot, yelled he wanted to go home 5 past 7 on a Saturday, maybe put a garbage in the parking lot.

This has to be the worst maintained golf course in Ottawa. The layout is okay but the whole course seems like it hasn't been taken care of in years. The greens were half dead and even the alive parts were cut too high. The grass in the rough was cut and the shavings just left there. Most of the signs marking the holes are faded and unreadable unless they scribbled the yardage in pen. I don't think I'll ever be back here, they'd have to drop the price in half for this to even be mildly worth your time.

Wow truly a one of a kind experience! Certainly 'unique' as the sign out front says. Might be an ok value if was <$20 to play but for $40+ a person it's just horrible. Greens are half dead patches and very soft. Fairways aren't really a thing it's all just wild grass, and tee boxes uneven and overgrown.

Wonderful staff, beautiful course ! Wanted to try this course as a single senior, was camping nearby and decided to give it a try. Was thoroughly impressed ! The staff were very accommodating and the course was beginning to show some beautiful fall colors..Love the layout ! Hope to play again tomorrow, and will be playing here a lot next year !

Nice old style course that can be pretty scenic with lots of nature. Saw a giant turtle that had to be very old! Working hard at the greens this year. Been a go-to for us on Saturday mornings. Paul in the pro shop is a fantastic dude and fun to chat with. Peaceful golf.
