In summary

Riegelwood Country Club is appreciated for its affordability and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for beginners and those seeking a budget-friendly golf outing. The course, a 9-hole layout played twice for an 18-hole experience, is noted for its wide fairways and recently improved greens. However, some visitors mention that the course conditions can be inconsistent, with issues such as worn tee boxes and shallow bunkers, and the proximity to a paper mill can occasionally affect the ambiance.

It’s the classic - you get what you pay for. But l have to say l was very pleasantly surprised. It was $18 for the 9 holes and the cart is included. The cart was in really good shape. I did not use the practice facilities. The tee boxes were a bit beat up, but serviceable. The fairways were wide, but the grass was what ever was under your feet for that stretch. But l don’t think I had a bad lie. There is no true rough. The bunkers are shallow, and they didn’t feel very “sandy”. But again, l didn’t have any problems with them. Though to be honest I was only in one. The greens… they were a bit b…

I love this golf course. They have just recently redone their greens and they look fabulous. 9 hole course But you play it twice and it does not break the bank! The staff are super friendly, and on multiple occasions have helped me and my friends locate lost wallets, keys, hats, even golf clubs ha ha ha! I am new to golfing so this place is perfect!

Okay if you accept it for what it is. Good place for beginners. Extremely cheap and flexible with no tee times. Course is the worst I’ve ever seen though. No cuts, no fairways, no real tee boxes. The greens/bunkers are flat out unplayable, and enjoy sucking dust for four hours as you transverse the dirt cart paths. Will also have to just deal with the noise and smell from the adjacent paper mill

I haven’t played it but it reminds me of Carolina Country Club in Charlotte. It’s very close to the airport, between two busy roads and the train tracks are right beside it. The joke is it’s got “planes, trains and automobiles” so if your can keep your head down there, you can keep your head down anywhere! I’ll have to play this one day when the breeze is favorable :-).

Great value for what it is... I grew up playing this course. It's a 9 hole course, with two tees on each hole. It's not Augusta National, but it's cheap and usually easy to get on. Edit: Played this weekend at a tournament here, greens are in the best shape they've been in in years. Definitely worth the money to ride out.

I work next to the place. I never been but my joh over looks it. I see people from time to time enjoying themselves. It may be small and not on the scale as the bigger golf course but they hold their own.

Best deal in golf. If you like to play golf and spend $20, this is a good choice. Course is in good condition and provides a challenge to all skill levels. Staff is friendly and so are the members.

Not the best course but that's Riegelwood in general. Very friendly fairways and Incredible Oblongs backdrop of the paper mill. Definitely will play again
