River's Edge Golf Club

Great golf course, course was maintained well but could have been nicer Greens as they were filled with divots. I was disappointed as it was great weather for gold and the motorcycles / atvs were not available for use due to the "paths". The price for the course is right on par, would like a bit more of a Pro-Shop. Overall was a good experience and will golf again.

First I want to say this layout for the course is really good, its a tough track. My issue is with everything else. I don't understand why when I went down to the range its like hitting out of gopher holes. Never seen a range so unlevel, first time I wish a range had mats. The service, if you can call it that, is the worst I've ever seen. From the attitude of the girl I checked in with to the Bev Cart. I don't understand how on a Sunday round you only see the beverage cart once. Overall this course has so much potential, unfortunately potential doesn't make a good experience.

I have been golfing at this course for around 9 years now (last 7 as a member). I have found my favorite thing about the course is the people. If you're looking for a challenging 18 hole course which has been in great shape for the past number of years I would highly recommend this course.

My friend recommended it to me, so I went there with my son on Saturday morning. As my friend said, the course layout was great, and the fairway and the green were in great condition. Thanks to the quick progress of the previous team, I was able to finish the 18th hole in less than 3 hours. I got rid of Mr. Course Manager’s worries. (He advised me to be on time because I don't use a cart.) I think I'll go about once a month.

Nice golf course, good condition and tight fairways for your golfing pleasure. A nice course with decent prices outside of the Calgary region. It is challenging enough for all golfers and on a nice day is the perfect escape for the city courses.

My husband and I have golfed all around Alberta,BC and I was so Astounded at the River’s Edge golf course. The way we were treated is not at all professional. We Went there with Our daughter and husband and there teen Daughter to have a nice day golfing. We Did book our tee time over the phone. But On the fourth hole we We’re Approach by two teenagers who worked for the course and they told us that we had to Leave and leave immediately as we Were Breaking the rules by having our grandchildren with us. She was not Golfing just spending time with us. And they would be escorting us off the course…

Very unfriendly and dismissive staff working in the pro shop. Their manager should try to avoid hiring people with the attitude of a teenager going through puberty. I left my range finder on the side post of one of their carts and I kindly asked if there is a possibility that it is still there. They said “no we would’ve seen it and put it in the lost and found”. They said “go look in the cart barn I don’t know” and were unwilling to even point me in the right direction because that was probably too much effort for them. We called five times over the past week or so to secure three back-to-back tee times for our annual family and friends golf tournament (nine of us in total). My husband spoke with four different staff members leading up to this to make sure everything was booked, especially since we have family traveling in from out of town. Awful experience, will not return. If there were 0 stars I would give that. Whoever owns this course needs to look at who hires staff for this course, the management is aggressive towards having kids on their course, even though we pay for them and no where do it say kids are no allowed. Took our children for their first golf experience, got YELLED at by the “manager” because my 5 year old child was “golfing” (as in hitting a ball 5 feet away if that). I tried booking a scramble here for two weeks. Spoke with multiple people at the front desk who had great customer service. The communication wasn’t relayed to management about the booking and I was double booked. This is exactly what I was trying to avoid which is why I reached out so far in advance. I have people coming from out of town to do an annual family golf trip and Mike (the manager) did not care at all. He was not accommodating, unprofessional and rude. Course was in decent shape but man they missed out on alot of money. Cart girl came around once in 18 holes.. that's a big miss. Also is someone allowed to serve alcohol with a baby in their arms?
