In summary

River Oaks Golf Course is praised for its friendly and attentive staff, reasonable pricing, and well-kept course conditions, making it a pleasant spot for golfers in the St. Cloud area. The course layout offers a mix of open and tree-lined fairways, providing a scenic and enjoyable experience. However, some visitors have noted issues with uneven fairways, slow pace of play, and occasional overcrowding, which can affect the overall golfing experience.

This course has top-notch customer service. Super friendly, they are always willing to work with you on things, and they have some of the best pricing around St. Cloud area. Twilight hour is best. Anytime after 3:00 for one person, 18 holes, and a cart is $30!! It’s a beautiful course not surrounded by a ton of homes on the front nine, then half of the back nine in through a neighborhood, but they keep the area pretty open to hit. I am very impressed with their service and beautiful course

Our group of 7 golfers and one rider reserved two tee times here shortly after 10 am today. We played a scramble to keep with the surrounding pace of play, which was 2 hours and 13 minutes for 9 holes on a busy Saturday morning. Power carts were a mix of electric and gas. The greens featured challenging pin locations today with difficult breaks to read. The tee boxes and fairways were in okay condition with several fairways featuring wavy bumps. This course has narrower fairways that are tree lined, which requires better accuracy instead of strength off the tee. Each tee featured four tee off…

UPDATE: The course needs some work. Freshly aerated greens were not sanded fully, so they are very rough. But worse, there are many bad areas in the fairways, especially on holes 1-5 and 13-14. Irrigation is uneven, leaving wet spots even during a very dry period. The course gave us a great rate, so that was appreciated. But, I would rather pay a little more and have them put the money into fixing some of these holes. Very friendly staff. ==================================== Nice course for the price. A hidden gem.

We had to wait on a lot of holes to tee off, as we were behind a mother with three children. The group only had one set of clubs. The mother and oldest son were the two golfing on the holes. Once they reached the green, the mother let all three children putt the ball. We skipped past them. Later on, we caught up to a group of six younger men. We played behind them for 3 holes, catching up to them on every tee box. They never offered for us to move ahead of them. So, we slipped that hole, too. All in all, we missed 3 holes out of 18. We paid for 18 holes. We told the young lady in the club hous…

I played on Friday, 5/27, and I have to say that the woman on the drink cart was on of the friendliest and most attentive I've ever seen. Lately, it seems like the whole world is crabby, so this was rather refreshing! I unfortunately didn't catch her name, but she will make me want to golf there again! Oh, and the course was nice as well.

Course is in decent shape, but fairways are very bumpy. I don't really like courses that let out groups of more than 4 , especially on a Saturday. Our twosome was behind a horribly slow 5some. Pro shop guy was cool, tho.

Great, well kept course. Water throughout but nothing to get you into trouble unless you don't pay attention to the markers.
