In summary

Rochelle Country Club is appreciated for its unique and challenging layout, featuring many short holes and tight fairways lined with mature trees, which provide a test for players' iron game. The staff is frequently commended for their friendliness and accommodating service, and the greens are generally well-maintained. However, some visitors find the course design confusing and note issues with the condition of the tee boxes and fairways, as well as the proximity of holes to one another.

Thank you, Natalie as being the Golf Pro and your staff, including the restaurant next door with Edith and! staff. You are a terrific team even though owned by different identities, thought our class reunion RTHS 1980 was a successful event... thank you again! looking to be back in 5 years with our 50th!!!!!

Went with a group of ladies for an away outing. The course is confusing and the holes are very closely connected. Overgrown trees make it difficult to get a clean shot. The tee boxes were horrible. Crabgrass and sand made it hard to hit directly off the tee from the box. The fairways were overgrown and unkempt. The only reason for the one star is solely based on superior check in process.

My husband and I really like this course. It is usually not too busy but always multiple other people there playing. It was one of my first 18 hole courses and it is challenging but doable.

The problem w fairway is that even a low handicapper this course is far from enjoyable. Trees overhanging fairways, no holes you can really even bring driver out of the bag due to a terrible course design with extremely unforgiving misses in bad lies surrounded by tons of trees. The condition of the course isnt awful. But honestly the layout is by far the worst golf course design in northern illinois. Not an enjoyable course.

Nice course, front 9 is a nice challenge. Back 9 isn't the best imo. Mostly par 3`s. Downfall is the restaurant doesn't open until 11am, and proshop doesn't have refreshments besides the vending machines that are not reliable to work.

This course is a nice little track that has potential to be much more than it is. It's definitely a fun little test for your irons since even a well struck tee shot doesn't necessarily mean an easy approach. Tee shots need to be absolutely precise. The fairways are well manicured for the most part. The tee boxes, however, are in desperate need of some TLC and nearly every green has multiple gouges that look like someone chunked a wedge. Also, and not necessarily the fault of the course, the location does not make for a great experience. I would much rather have the sounds of nature rather than…

Played here many times the last few years. Very unique layout. There are 8 par 3 holes on the course 6 of which are on the back 9. I think the longest par 4 is around 350 yards, so the course plays about 4700 from the blues. Obviously is not long, but every hole is lined with large mature oak, hickory and ash trees, so there is plenty of trouble to get into. I like this little track, and it's always in decent shape, and like the small greens as well. Given all the par 3's it lets you work on some parts of your game that you don't often get to. Never had a bad experience here, and it's never to…

It should be called "Fairways?". Very hard to tell where the fairway ends and the rough begins, especially on all of the dog legged holes, so tee shots on anything above a par 3, unless you might know the course well, good luck. Greens were great, though.

If your near Rochelle stop...Least expensive Perry Maxwell designed golf course in America...Although its on the shorter side remember it was designed in in the 1920's opened in 1929 and people played with Hickory Shafted clubs....Perry Maxwell Designed Medinah #3, Southern Hills in Tulsa, and Prairie Dunes in Hutchinson, Kansas. Parr 66 because theres 6 par 3's and 3 par 4's on the back 9. A great test of golf with 70ft tall hardwoods.....embrace the past, I did and would do it again next time in Rochelle.

Very nice course. Fairways and greens in great shape. Cart paths are a little rough around the edges, but gives it some Rochelle charm!

Okay course. Makes no sense not to allow people to start at 6:00 pm and play 9 holes, plenty of time to get through before 8:30. I’m glad some of the workers at least understand that.
