In summary

River Heights Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained greens and fairways, friendly staff, and affordable pricing, making it a popular choice among golfers. The course layout is noted for its moderate difficulty with several water hazards and scenic views, offering a mix of challenging and confidence-building holes. However, some visitors have reported issues with signage, limited carts, and occasional slow play, and there have been concerning reports of negative interactions with an employee.

Love this course. It's well maintained and the staff is always friendly and attentive. The clubhouse is clean and also well maintained. The course is pretty forgiving with a few more challenging water crossings. A couple confidence builder holes. Very affordable especially during the week.

River Heights is a GREAT Golf Course. If you haven't played there lately, the new Superintendent Shane has done an exceptional job. The greens are the best they have ever been and with water on 13 holes, the course has it's challenges......Especially from the tips. Staff is friendly and they have great twilight deals. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't been or haven't been there this season. MW Grossmann USGA Index 5.7

Decent course. On the inexpensive side. Signage for the next hole isn’t great and one hole didn’t have any cart path which was very confusing. But an extra point for having the club and ball washers on the carts. Would definitely play here more if it was closer to me.

Tee’d off Saturday at 1:20. Was out first time at this course and we were paired with a nice couple. Unfortunately behind us, at 1:30, was an extremely rude person with a group. Later learned that this is an employee at River Heights. He started off yelling at us for not starting on time. Understandable because we were lost. But at hole 5-6, he accused my husband and I of stealing his ball. He not only came by once, he came and accused us twice of the same thing and was antagonizing us. The couple we were with were kind enough to defend us and also were there as witnesses that we were targeted…

My husband and I were part of the 1:20 PM tee time, and we witnessed the same incident mentioned in another review involving a couple who were paired with us. After that situation, we continued to the back 9. While waiting at hole 10 behind several groups (3-4) the same employee approached us again, now acting as though we would be on HIS side since the couple was no longer with us. The first words out of his mouth were, “So I guess that other couple is crying racism?” I shut him down immediately and told him I was the one who had spoken up. He continued going on about how “they” were making…

They have added a full fairway sprinkler system, upgraded some cart paths, put some work into the bunkers and sorted out the previously temporary tees. Well done ! Great muni course of only moderate difficulty.

At the beginning of the season you expect the course to be in good shape. River Heights was in great shape. Greens we true and rolled well. Only draw back was the construction of a new watering system. I really do like this course a lot. Give it a try if you haven't.

Course is fun and in pretty decent condition. Fairways aren’t the best, but they’ll do. Don’t tee off on Wednesday evenings unless you want to get stuck behind a very slow league.

Course is very dry, especially the front nine fairways and ruff. Greens have burnout spots, but they have placed pins in better areas. Back nine seemed in better condition than the front nine. Course is playable and you get lots of roll. Greens hold and the price is right. When will it rain again.

A fun and, at times, a really challenging course. Unless you are a really good golfer you will lose a few balls.

Fairways and greens were really well maintained, and you didn't lose your ball every time you strayed into the rough. Parking can be a bit tight, but I would play again for sure.
