In summary

Rockledge Golf Club is widely praised for its excellent course conditions, with well-maintained greens, fairways, and bunkers that rival private clubs. The layout is interesting and challenging, featuring a mix of rolling hills, water hazards, and strategically placed bunkers, making it a favorite among golfers. The staff is noted for being friendly and helpful, and the on-site restaurant offers a pleasant dining experience, though some visitors mention limited food options before noon. A few criticisms include occasional slow pace of play and concerns about the delayed construction of the new driving range.

First time playing here on a gorgeous fall weekend. The greens and fairways were in excellent conditions. Pace was good as well. I walked 18 holes with my push cart without much problem. There is a restaurant on site but only open at noon. My tee time was 10:00a so you cannot purchase food or snack before teeing off. Oddly, there is a snack house at the intersection of 2nd, 11th and 18th. But even on Saturday, the only food they serve is hot dog.

Glad we made a visit. It was a Thursday night about 6pm. The weather was beautiful. Was in the low 90’s earlier in the day. A ton of golfers. The parking lot was packed but we had no issues finding a parking spot. Service was prompt. I waited a couple minutes which worked out since I was waiting for my party to arrive. They walked in as we were ready to be seated. There was an option to sit in or outside. The open tables outside could not be guaranteed to have an umbrella, so we sat inside, in the bar area, next to a window looking over the course. With the sun setting over the ridge, it was…

Great course! Better maintained that many private courses. Head groundskeeper Tim, has his course in unbelievable shape. Greens are the best of any club in Connecticut. Very friendly and helpful staff, under Head PGA pro Josh Moses . New driving range under construction, will feature 17 new bays and Trackman. If you’ve never been give it a try

Whatever the course super attendant and head greenskeeper are paid, it's not enough. You can tell whoever manages the conditions of this course truly cares, I guarantee they are a true enthusiast. Rockledge conditions typically match that of top tier public course, if not some of the better private clubs. I can confidently say it's unmatched by any other municipal in the state. Since moving to West Hartford and Farmington, I've probably played this course 30-40 times in 2 years. It is March 31st, after a torrential late winter and early spring, and the course is in immaculate shape. While o…

Literally got off a plane, drove to Rockledge and got right on for a Sunday afternoon 18. Not knowing (first time here), I got a cart. But played with two walking golfers and could have easily walked the round. Beautiful course, lots of TLC throughout. Great tee boxes, lush bent green fairways. Perfect greens that rolled true. Loved the layout. Nice mix of rolling hills, water, blind tee shots and challenging par threes. Bunkers in great shape. Cost was good. $48 to ride, Around $35 to walk. From the back tees, it was about 6500 yards.

Great layout and the course NM isnin really good shape. Tees, fairways and greens are all really good. With the rain and the cooler weather the grass is coming in nicely.
