In summary

Rolling Knolls Country Club is praised for its well-maintained and challenging disc golf course, featuring a variety of hole lengths, elevation changes, and a mix of open and technical shots. The course is noted for its beautiful setting and thoughtful layout, appealing to intermediate and advanced players. However, some visitors mention the thick rough and drainage issues, particularly in wet conditions, which can pose challenges for beginners.

Challenging 18hole course. Fairways are narrow with lots of tall grass to lose some discs if you don’t or can’t throw straight. I’m sure there are lots of lost discs in the grasses. Parks and recreation were there mowing and widening some of the lines towards the baskets. Seems like a nice course, first time playing it. Would like to see them add some better signs directing towards the next hole. Got turned around a couple times.

Great course. Challenging for those who are good players, for the new add 1 stroke per hole for par. Excellent . Thank you park district/Elgin. A bit wet in the spring but the sparse foliage compared to mid summer makes it easier finding discs when you go for it on blind shots.

Excellent course. I grew up a block away. This used to be a full 18 hole golf course and I've been playing disc golf for about 20 years in approximately 9 different states. Now a disc golf and bird sanctuary, this is a difficult course but fun. It's definitely not the hardest course, but provides three over 600 foot holes, some small hidden pond and creek water areas, lots of brush to get lost in, and some challenging narrow paths. Beginners in the area should start in elk grove village off of biesterfield or in Carpentersville at Randall oaks. Average to advanced will find this a challenge si…

surprisingly, a great course... balanced between short and long holes, mixed with elevation changes... wide to narrow lanes ... makes for a great course! very well designed.

Really liked this course. A lot of variety in length and terrain. Pretty well marked out, and 2 maps on the course. Quite muddy today but it's rained a few days. But drainage is a but of an issue here.

I truly fantastic local course. It has it all from open shots to technical shots. Great elevation changes and an all-around fantastic course. Not necessarily good for beginners unless you're playing in late fall or early spring because of the brush . If you do play in the summer don't play with a green disc

This is the coolest 18-hole disk golf course I've ever played! Risk of throwing your disk in the long grass on the sides of the fairway, but the course is beautiful and there are trimmed kept fairways. This is a very challenging, but fun course to play! I highly recommend giving this course a go. (Definitely NOT a beginners course)

Good course. Has interesting lines. Kind of on the short to technical side. The real issue is that they've left the rough go and it's getting pretty bad/thick and tall. Only one hole was unfair with a dead limb hanging out in front of the tee box in the middle of the lane. Would not take a beginner there. You have to be able to hit your lines with control. A beginner would struggle. The firs 7 holes are pretty straight forward. After that a beginner would really struggle. I like the course and seek it out. But I've been throwing and competing for several years. Clean up the rough and I'd rate…

Great course. Well marked holes, well maintained grounds, and overall an enjoyable experience. There is a nice parking area that does have a portable restroom available. This course can be played by all skill levels but I would consider this an intermediate course at least. There are tall grasses, brush, and other hazards that make holes difficult. Holes are mostly open with only a couple truly in the woods.

Solid course. Some pretty tough holes. Good workout with all the hills. Tee pads and baskets in good shape.

One of the best courses in the Chicago area. Well worth the trip. Each hole has two pin locations and they are rotated yearly to keep things fresh. Holes 8,9,10 are one of the best 3 hole sequences. Use a spotter during the summer if possible the fairways are tight and the grass is tall.
