In summary

Hilldale Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, challenging and unique hole layouts, and good value for money. The staff is generally regarded as friendly and helpful, with amenities such as GPS-equipped carts and a driving range adding to the experience. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the pace of play management and interactions with course staff, which have occasionally detracted from their enjoyment.

Played this course recently for the first time and was thoroughly surprised. This is definitely the best value a course has in all of the suburbs. The holes were all unique and challenging, and this course was extremely fun to play. Greens and fairways are beautifully maintained. Tee times are also very well priced for what the course is.

Absolutely love this place. Emma, the cart girl, was very helpful. My friend and I were playing in the extreme heat, Emma was very nice to offer us some water and we definitely needed it. Hope to see Emma again in the future. Thank you.

Well maintained, every hole is a much different challenge than the last but cohesive as a set of 18, pace of play is great, and greens are fast. What more can you really want?!

I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of unique holes. Greens were fast and fun, cool staff. Worth the annoying traffic back to the city.

This golf course seems to be great to play. But there are many ranger balls on golf courses especially on 1st one, and it causes players to be confused and takes quite a time to pick up my own golf ball. The flying golf balls may be dangerous to hit players. The traffics in Hassel Road are getting heavy lately, and some car drivers drive without any caution. Also the golf cart drivers should be cautious. I wish there are visible "road signs" to both of them.

I think is reasonably tough course . Kept well . People are nice . Fortunately every time I have played the pace was superb usually 4 hours and 5 minutes at most , sometimes less than 4 hours .

Their “putting green” was a hilled square, no holes or anything covered in leaves. Unless the 2 old geezers were mistaken as to where it was- practice facility is rather poor.

Pretty good course for the $$. Difficult course with lots of water. Hole 10 is probably one of the hardest holes I've played in the Chicago land area. Difficulty aside, fun course and I play here regularly.

One of the best values in the area. Fun layout and very well maintained most of the times I've been here. The greens have been in great shape every round I've played here. Water comes into play on a handful of holes and there's plenty of doglegs to give you a variety of shots off the tee. The 5th hole is a fantastic risk/reward hole, 330 yard dogleg right par 4 from an elevated tee box. The only problem is the shortcut is over a pond. Two other great features are the grass driving range and the brat/dog/drink station set up at the turn. Great golf, amenities and value at Hilldale.

Always enjoyable. Challenging but fair. New bridges on hole 12. Great value.

I have been playing this course for years..great course..this review though is for their course pro Eddie Frye. I’m not one to leave reviews too often, but I was noticing some issues with some of my longer clubs (driver, fairway wood) and within two lessons, he has me hitting the ball as good as I ever have. Being a former athlete I may have been able to pick up on his teachings a little faster than others, but if you’re looking for a lesson, he will not disappoint!

Very nice golf course especially for the price. Carts were in great shape with GPS tracking. Definitely going back!
