First off, to all those wondering- the first 9 holes are (mostly) back open! Just one hole on the course is still closed, but they have a "3B" to play in its place. They also have BRAND NEW carts!!! This course obviously has STUNNING views, yet pictures just won't ever do it justice. The grass itself is certainly not PGA quality, but I also disagree with other reviews that trash it entirely, it isn't bad. A "Jurassic Park" experience! Tucked into the Ko’olau mountains, this Pete Dye/Greg Norman gem offers stunning jungle views and forced carries. The front nine is tight and punishing, while the back opens up. Bring extra balls—the scenery is 5 stars!

It was raining on and off so it was cart path only. The rough isn’t really grass—it’s more like weeds—and the ground became very muddy, so my bag, clubs, and clothes got quite dirty. They also didn’t provide any complimentary water, and the staff didn’t feel particularly welcoming. Because of the rain, holes 1 through 9 were closed, so we ended up playing the back nine twice. It might be a better experience on a nice day. The course is surrounded by lush, dense trees, so it seems like it would be quite enjoyable in dry, sunny conditions.

A beautiful course. Unfortunately it rained most of the time when I played. The fairways are narrow so if you play for the first time throttle back. Club down as your normal shots are 10-15 yards short. Staff is friendly. The building is beautiful but only the pro shop and snack bar were open.

Playing golf in Jurassic Park! What a fun experience! Overall, the experience was worth the price of admission. Played here frequently when I lived in Hawaii. It was Luana Hills back then. Enjoyed the kama'aina rates vs. the very expensive non-resident rate we paid last week. No regrets. Bring two boxes of balls, not sleeves. Prepare to enjoy the incredible scenery, etc. If you make a few pars, consider yourself very lucky. Gracious staff. Hope the facilities are open next time like the restaurant, bar and amazing hot and cold plunge pools in the locker room. There was a fire and all the carts were destroyed so they're limited with very old carts. State of the art ones are on the way. Go play!

Unbelievable golf, the views were absolutely stunning and the staff were super friendly. Would only wish for more services and amenities at this course. It used to have a sauna and restaurant which were not open when we visited. My friend and myself could easily forget that though for the stunning scenery and amazing, challenging golf. An absolute must-visit for golfers and even beginners like ourselves.

4 stars from me due to the front 9 being closed due to some recent flooding. I played kapolei and ko olina the previous days, and this place has a completely different vibe being in the jungle. The carts aren't jurassic park themed (I told them they could get another 50 out of me if they were themed).. be prepared to lose a lot of balls unless you hit it super straight and play conservative (sometimes you can get lucky and find some balls along the way while your looking for yours). The greens aren't as lush as the other places I played, but they rolled true and relatively fast.

Epic golf course and amazing views, a must play if you’re in town for sure. The front 9 is all in the jungle with very beautiful scenic views and greenery everywhere. The rough is not maintained well or trimmed so any stray balls are likely lost, be sure to keep extra balls, At least 1 per handicap point. If you’re in the fairway and fairly accurate it’s not that difficult of a course, pretty short overall. Definitely more of a scenic round and enjoying the nature for sure. Still a lot of challenging holes and shots though. Definitely do not recommend for beginners unless you’re ok with losing…

This is a very good golf course that requires accurate target golf. Come with lots of balls, rain gear, and a eye for the beautiful scenery! The course has hole 5 under repair so they have you play 3a and then 3b. They have a chipping and putting green close to hole 1 and a putting green next to the club house.

This course is in the jungle. Beautiful views near and far, huge ancient trees and mountains. Very difficult but it is a must play.
