I’ve enjoyed playing this course for nearly two decades, but the recent improvements are absolute game changers. The conditions are better than ever, the experience keeps getting better, and I’m excited to see the rest of their planned upgrades come to life. Royal St. Augustine is definitely on the rise!

Golfed today Thursday Nov 13 2025. First time golfing this course and had an outstanding welcome by the staff and playing 18 was so fun! The course is in great shape and so many challenges as a 90’s golfer! Highly recommend this course. Well maintained and the greens were awesome! You gotta play here! I will be back!!!!!

It is with great remorse I give this course a 3.The staff was excellent. The course hard.Yet way to much driving is necessary from one hole to the next.Crossing streets way to often. Our group got lost due to lack of sufficient signage. The driving range is limited to irons only. Several greens and tee boxes need attention.

Played Royal St. Augustine and the real headline here is Mike, the starter—former U.S. Marshal. And let me tell you… that checks out. This man runs the first tee like it’s a federal operation. No funny business, no slow play, no wandering off—just smooth, efficient golf. Honestly, if every course had a Mike, 5-hour rounds would be a thing of the past. He somehow manages to keep everything moving while still being friendly and cracking jokes. You feel like you’re both welcomed… and lightly supervised at all times. On top of that, the course itself was in great shape. Fairways were solid, greens…

Unplayable Course- This course was unplayable. Every tee box was just a sandy mess with no grass on it. Half the greens were closed down and temporary "greens" were made in the fairway that was covered in weeds and sand. The temp "greens" if you can even call them that were 75-120 yards short of the marked yardage and made the course difficult to play with inaccurate yardage. The bunkers on the course were more like swamps with water 3-4" deep. The sand that wasnt underwater in the bunker was hard and compact damaging one of my clubs. The staff were rude and made me feel unwelcome from the st…

For sure will be back. This is a challenging course if you aren't hitting straight. One side is water the other side is typically swamp and/or forest. The staff is very friendly and you should always tip the bartender extra since she works extra hard to ensure your beer is nice and cold for your next nine or post 18. The driving range was small and personal and no mats. Full bar and full menu. My first time but not my last. Most of the greens were good or were on their way to good.

Debbie Cummins is one of the BEST employees with sterling customer service qualities. She is friendly, patient and knowledgeable. Debbie appears to do it all...helping customers with an unrelentingly smile and kind manner. She is the best!! Thank you Debbie for all you do to make our golf experience so pleasant...even though the game of golf can be shear torture at times! 😊 😂

Where to start, 1st thing pay no attention to any review from several months ago. Course is in excellent shape especially the large maintained greens. As for the staff (to name a few Brett, Cody and Mike) a very special thank you. While playing yesterday 01/06 my wallet (180.00 cash 4 credit & 1 debt cards) fell out of the cart somewhere on the course. Today 01/07 I have it all back. Thanks to the honest staff that works at the course and just one more time, you will love the greens

what a joke of a golf course! been at the course for over 45 minutes still don't even have access to a golf cart. didn't tee off until 35 mintues after our tee time and course is backed because of having no carts everyone is backed up on the 1st tee. plus it not worth the price increase they have done since I played it in the past. very unfortunate because it's the closest course to my place.

The entire front 9 had greens and tee boxes that looked like this. The back 9 wasn’t as bad from what we could tell. However, we only played the first 3 holes of the back and left because it had taken us an hour and a half to play those 3 holes. They were so insanely backed up that there was no way we were gonna wait and take that long to play the rest of the course. The only reason I gave an extra star is because when we went into the pro-shop to complain, they did give us a rain check that doesn’t expire for another 2 years. So hopefully they have the golf course in better shape by then!
