In summary

Samoset Resort Golf Club is highly praised for its breathtaking setting with ocean views, luxurious and cozy accommodations, and exceptional service from a friendly and attentive staff. Guests appreciate the variety of amenities, including a large indoor pool, hot tub, and unique seasonal events like ice bars and s'mores by the fire. While the dining experience is generally well-received, there is a mention of the restaurant being unprepared for high volumes during peak times.

We’ve just had a fantastic weekend at Samoset Resort, and our stay was truly memorable for the whole family. From the genuinely warm, welcoming, and attentive service at reception to the hotel’s inviting atmosphere and beautiful interior design, and all the details that made our stay so memorable, everything contributed to making this a very special experience. The staff at the front desk went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and well taken care of from the very first moment. The surroundings and the view are absolutely breathtaking. The spectacular winter landscape and peaceful at…

We had an excellent stay at Samoset this past weekend. The ice bar event was excellent - great ice sculptures, Bon fires outside, S’mores & speciality cocktails. They even had a DJ who was excellent and space in the bar inside to dance. And also the nice large indoor pool and hot tub to top it off. The views from the rooms of the ocean were so beautiful. What a great way to break up Maine’s long cold winter. The staff is excellent and so friendly. We will mark our calendars for 2027 for this event. We love the Samoset Resort!!

Elizabeth and I had a wonderful time at the Samoset this Christmas. We had a beautiful room overlooking the Penobscot Bay. The service throughout the hotel was outstanding. We ate all of our meals at the resort and the food was creatively prepared and delicious. We had such a good time we decided to stay an extra day! Thanks all of you for making our stay such a wonderful one. We plan to come to your beautiful resort again next Christmas.

The Samoset is such a wonderful place to stay. They accommodated everything we needed and anticipated things we didn't know we needed. It's such a perfect place for kids too from swimming to s'mores time. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful and kind. We will continue to come back.

My wife and I are fortunate enough to travel to some pretty amazing places throughout the year and this place was no exception. Had always wanted to spend some time in Maine and finally had the opportunity to do so this October at the Samoset and all I can say is what an incredible experience it was. The property is a geographic marvel. On par with Pebble Beach and similar places and while the buildings are much older, the staff is as good as I've experienced at five star resorts that cost 10 times as much. And such a cool old lodge complete with sweeping views of Penobscot Bay and a huge fire…

This is a beautiful setting even in winter. Our room was somewhat noisy but the staff quickly and graciously moved us to a quiet spot that was perfect. The breakfast buffet is delicious and multiple fireplaces provide great spots to hang out.

Beautiful resort right in the water. Looks like a wonderful golf course, but I didn’t play so I can’t say for sure but it certainly had a fantastic view since it was on the water! Would be a fantastic place for a wedding. There was one going on while we were there. Restaurant food was delicious and there was a great outdoor patio which was nice. They had refillable water bottles which is handy and a great pool. You can take a nice long walk down the jetty enjoy the beautiful sunset. It’s definitely worth staying and a great place to relax, especially if you play golf.

Stated here for a week in the timeshare condos and it was amazing! The condo had everything we needed and the resort grounds were beautiful during the snow. We also loved the gym! Overall would definitely recommend for anyone visiting the Maine area!

I came here for one night and I immediately thought I was in a castle. Parking was easy and the gentleman at the front desk was more than jolly. He offered us a free upgrade to a room with a balcony!! Hot apple cider was offered in the lobby and the rooms are amazing. Water pressure in the shower is great and the view can only be described as luxury. The pool and hot tub area was excellent and the pool was very deep for a hotel pool coming in at 8 feet deep. The hot tub was very hot considering most public hot tubs are barely 90. There was more than enough room in the pool area. The beds are…

The resort itself was amazing! The room was very clean and updated. We went during school vacation week and the hotel restaurant was not prepared for/or able to handle the volume of a mostly full restaurant. That being said, the manager, Nicole T, was so amazing and accommodating.

Just a wonderful place, everything about it. Jacuzzi room was incredible with a massive jacuzzi for 4. Breakfast and dinner were exceptional and reasonable! We walked about the grounds which was also very beautiful. We never left the place all weekend. It was that fulfilling. Definitely a top 3 stay all time!

My wife and I went to the Samoset Resort for her birthday yesterday. We were met at the desk by a most pleasant gentleman who informed us that since her birthday was a special occasion we would receive a room upgrade. The room was perfect with a spectacular view. Complimentary champaign and chocolate dipped strawberries rounded out the very special attention we were given. We are both in our 80s and have traveled a great deal over the years. Rarely have we found such an enthusiastic and accomodating group of people as the staff of the Samoset Resort. We will definately return!
