In summary

Sandy Mountain Camp Site & Golf Course is appreciated for its vibrant community atmosphere, family-friendly amenities such as a pool, playground, and par-3 golf course, and its proximity to Ottawa and Kemptville. Visitors often commend the cleanliness and helpfulness of the staff. However, some guests have reported issues with the sewer system and management's handling of disputes, which have affected their experiences. Additionally, there are occasional concerns about site conditions, such as muddy lots and exposed wiring.

Great community of campers, lots of fun, lots of activities and if you ever need anything there's always somebody care for you. The prices can't be beat and the staff are amazing. It Feels Like Home!

If you’re RVing and planning a to visit Ottawa, Sandy Mountain Campground is perfect! 40 minutes in to Ottawa and the campground is great. A lot of seasonal people there, that take a lot of pride in their campgrounds. Par 3 golf course, pool and great people. Five minutes to Kimpville , everything you need is there. If there was one thing that could be improved, it’s the sewer hookups, we all had a wreck with that along the way.

Great place to enjoy a camp fire, golfing, swimming, playground, and events (such as bands) to enjoy with friends, family, and fellow campers. It's a great community!

I never got to write a review until over five years later of stopping attending Sandy Mountain! I grew up here, during the summers I would come here. Great campground, nice cold pool (very refreshing on hot summer days), and nice bingo! The park was great and always clean, the community loving. I made lots of great memories here, of which I will hopefully be back to enjoy someday in the future! I highly suggest this campsite.

If you are looking for a family friendly seasonal campsite, this is not it. I bought a nice trailer here 2 summers ago, paid fees to stay full time in the summer with my 10 year old son. We had just set our camp up for the season when the owner Debbie, blazed onto my deck and accused my son and his friends of flooding the golf course washroom. With no proof, and the kids saying they didn’t even know where the washroom was, she BANNED the children from stepping out of our yards until July 1. It was mid May when this wholly inappropriate and unwarranted ‘ban’ was decreed. After talking with my…

Witnessed unacceptable behaviour while here - the owner assaulted someones property with their golf club - with their kids watching, and then kicked them all out..why?!!!! Disgusting, will never go back. Would give negative stars if possible.

Great if you have children or enjoy golfing. The pool is great and they have a really cool park for kids. Bingo on Saturday nights and horseshoe pits on site as well. The only downside would that a lot of the lots are surrounded by pine trees which can be damaging to trailers and there is no beach.

Site had power post wiring exposed to weather, leaking water tap with low pressure, loose sewer connection on arrival (though fixed after a few days) and sewer pipe backed up with any dump of more than 1/4 tank. Extra fees for just about everything is demoralizing. The staff I dealt with were very nice and helpful, but heard many stories of others being extremely volatile and inflexible. Generally good community members though lots of loud music from summer regulars.

Absolutely loved our camping trip. The park is very clean, quiet and family orientated. The pool is amazing and the playground has a massive pirate ship for kids of all ages. The seasonal were very friendly and the office staff were awesome. Great campground!

This might not actually seem pertinent. Given my experience at Sandy Mountain was in the summer's of 1982 and 1983 while my stepfather was working pipeline. They were the greatest summers' I can remember. I made lots of friends had lots of adventures. Clearly I still hold those experiences dear. I am very happy that Sandy Mountain is still going strong. Now that my family and I have just purchased a new coach. Our plan is to make at least one run to Sandy Mountain to show my kids! Next season at this point. Can't wait to make the trip! So, Thanks to the Durant Family for helping soo many fami…

we were at your campground last weekend (arrived June 29 and left July 3), unfortunately we did not enjoy our experience. As weekenders the site we were supposed to get was full of mud so we refused that site. We were given another one and it's a good thing there were two ways to get out with our fifthwheel otherwise we would have been stuck in water and mud. We didn't see the owners at all during the weekend and it would have been nice for the owners to come and see us on Monday morning and offering their help if we needed it to get out. It's a good thing my sister-in-law and her spouse were…
