In summary

Saukie Golf Course is appreciated for its well-maintained grounds, affordability, and beginner-friendly layout, making it a popular choice for local golfers. The course is noted for its shorter length and lack of sand bunkers, offering a fun and challenging experience for players of all skill levels. However, some visitors have reported negative interactions with staff, particularly at the front desk, and issues with tee time availability, which have impacted their overall experience.

Decent easy course. Not on my list to play again but would play again if there were no other options. Fairways nice and only one par 5. Staff was working hard to blow leaves out of fairway. Nice clubhouse.

I’m going to be harsh on this course for being a par 66 course. Jerry is a real piece of work, during their remodel I paid for a back 9 (course started on hole 9 for a clubhouse remodel because that’s really smart) He comes out and makes a scene once I get on hole 9 saying I didn’t pay for extra rounds but his lack of a brain forgot that I payed green fees for NINE HOLES. I come from out of town and it seems like every time I try to book a tee time hours ahead they are always fully booked or have an outing going on. Way too busy for being a bottom 3 golf course in the area.

Saukie is a great local golfcourse in town, right in Rock Island. Saukie is more affordable than some other courses, and I appreciate that their are no sand-bunkers! Very beginner-friendly

Great Course! Gets a lot of criticism from low handicap golfers because of the Par 66. However, this course is always in good condition and great for the beginner and average golfer to learn.

What a wonderful place to hold a combined high school cross country race! Level running field, grass was cut prior to the race, can't wait to golf here!

I really don’t feel good about leaving this review as I work in the service industry.. But I see a theme, front desk lady as of Saturday June 6th 2025. (9:00am) Is one of the rudest most unpleasant individuals I have ever met in my life. I play golf frequent and I’ve never met someone with her disposition. It was the most bizarre interaction I’ve had in a while. I suppose you never know what someone is going through but felt as if she enjoyed being rude.

Course has come a long way in the past couple of years. We'll maintained and groomed. There are not a lot of hazards but fun to play. Can't wait to see the new clubhouse. Affordable and fun.

Unfortunately "family friendly" is not their motto at 08:30 on a Wednesday in July. I reserved tee times for 1 adult and 2 children. When I went to check in the lady had zero interest in allow children on golf course. After being questioned and lectured about our golfing abilities we forfeited our tee time and found a truly family friendly course by the Machine Shed.

For my first time playing there, it was pretty good and cheap. $30 for 18 holes and a cart. A mile. My only complaint was for the first 10 holes. We could only drive on the cart path. So it took a little bit longer than normal, but luckily. We were moving along at a good pace.

Went to play a round of 9 as a solo as I am traveling alone. Front desk worker wasn't very pleasant. Said "I don't know why you would want to play golf by yourself." Then I played and most of the tee boxes had aeration cores covering them with no alternate place to tee (she didn't tell me this). At each tee box there was a small square where someone had moved them to leave a 3x3 square to tee. She asked me if I used the tee boxes and I said yes where there was a spot cleared off. She said well I don't know who did that but "you shouldn't have used them." Perhaps if that was the case let the cu…

The course was in amazing condition for last year's golf season! Well manicured all the way around.. GREAT price for 18 holes and a well spent 2.5 hrs. It's a short course but you still have plenty of challenges and opportunities to hit bombs! Great staff
