Schifferdecker Golf Course

I’ve lived in Joplin most my life. I just bought some clubs again a couple weeks ago. I haven’t played for 15+ years and didn’t play much then. This course is beautiful and I’m so suprised at how nice a public’s course it is. I have played several times the last couple weeks and intend to gold here the rest of my days.

Small perfect greens - the greens here are amongst the nicest you'll find - best be hitting crisp iron shots. Course is in excellent condition overall presently! Tree lined fairways can cause problems with errant tee shots- not overly long off the tee. Love this course & all the praise goes to the staff & grounds crew! Highly recommend a round

I love the course! Great value for the quality of the course and facilities! Management is something to be desired though. The last two Saturday mornings I have played, I've been rushed to the tee box before my tee time and paired with a stranger. Charged for a cart fee, even though I didn't get my own. That forced me to play the entire round with the person, without the option to play through without them. I added an hour and a half to almost two extra hours because of the tag along. Wonderful course! Played Saturday morning and got paired up with a gentleman. Not sure if he was too happy about it, but I know I for sure had a great time! I hope him and I can play again sometime. Weekends seem super busy, so I fully understand getting paired. For a city golf course I find this place great! I hope they don’t change a thing.

Excellent above average awesome course. Suitable for low or high handicappers. Mature trees add to a breath taking Vista. Challenging greens and lengthy par 4s. The staff is incredible and the course is impeccable. This course is as great as most championship level courses in the 100 per round fees but at muni small town prices. Don't pass this course up... You'll enjoy the staff, the course, and will want to come back again.

Edit: Thank you, to the course manager for reaching out to us! He was very professional and truly wanted to help to resolve the issues. Nice course, easy to book a tee time. Unfortunately, the management is severely lacking. Had an incident on the course where a group of people behind us were hitting balls at us, cutting in front of us, and attempting to wreck their cart into us when we were just minding our own business. When we tried to tell the owners, they reacted as if that was normal and did nothing to reprimand the group. Don’t expect any etiquette on this course.

Schifferdecker Golf Course is truly a gem! The course was looking fantastic, and the greens were fast yet in great shape, making for an overall amazing experience. I absolutely love playing there. However, I had an unfortunate experience on 3/11. One of the regulars who tees off after us at 9 am ended up hitting into us on the 18th hole without saying anything. Our pace of play was under 4 hours, and we never had them waiting on us until the last three holes. It felt incredibly rude, especially considering I've heard some horror stories about the course. Really nice fairways and excellent greens. Plus, the gentleman in the clubhouse was very helpful and accommodating.

Easy to book tee times online. They were one of the only courses open in the area after a big storm, so they were extremely busy. This meant groups had to wait for riding carts, so we opted to use their push carts. Everyone we encountered who worked there was very friendly. A true city course w/tree lined fairways all next to each other. Keep your head on a swivel for errant shots & please yell “fore”

Great course, fast greens very well maintained fairways. The price for this course is also very very hard to beat!
