In summary

Shale Creek Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, attractive layout, and excellent amenities, including complimentary range balls and a welcoming staff. The dining options and live music also add to the positive experience. However, some visitors express concerns about the slow pace of play and occasional overbooking, which can lead to extended rounds and delays.

A nice little place to eat outside, that is right on the green. Whether it's for an outing of two or a big wedding rehearsal dinner. Food was very good alongside some live music. Will be back again to try other dishes.

A really nice golf course that is well maintained. Lots of fairway and the rough is playable. This is not any easy course as there is lots of creeks and some ponds in play so you have some decisions to make to go for it or lay up. The only downside was pace of play on a weekday when we played. We had to wait on two groups ahead us all morning.

Great track. Challenging but fair. Greens were a little beat up this time but that’s unusual. Always one of my favorite places to play

Made a tee time at 8:09 planning to be done in time for browns kickoff. We are on hole 15 and waiting. We are in for +5 hour round and going to miss kickoff. Starter said the clubhouse squeezed groups in ahead of us, causing us to tee off a little late and wait on nearly hole. Really disappointing experience for a course I usually love to play; especially considering the round was $74… a little steep for a 5 hour round in September.

Great service and food was awsome. Only thing was the dining area was way too bright. Tone down the light, get rid of the ugly mural, and you've got it made.

Shale creek is a gem in the rough, pun intended. Best golf course in the area. Food, live music, great pro shop. Open to the public and it's ideal for a Friday night golf and dine.

You get what you pay for! Service, food and golf course conditions are really good!! Greens, yep fast. Tee boxes a lot of variations in pro at the tips to intermediate. Love the layout of the course and greens. Keep up the great work here, everyone!! I will be back for sure.

Fairways in great shape. Greens inconsistent on speed and very hard to read. There was no starter which caused confusion. Guys behind us trying to push us off the 1st tee before our tee time as we waited for our 4th. Not a great experience.

Love the course but they stack the tee times up like their rent is due. I’ve played here 5 times this year and all different times and days and it’s always the same. There’s no reason to over book the course and waiting for every single shot is not acceptable.

Shale creek is the best course in northeast Ohio for the money. Great condition, all the time. Free range balls. And a great staff. Enjoy a dozen or so times a year. Can't wait to go back

And the winner is....SHALE CREEK!! I've played them all and Shale Creek is the best. Don't get me wrong, Sleepy Hollow, Manakiki, and Bunker Hill are all very good but Shale is a cut above. The roughs are cut just right, greens are smooth, fairways are in great shape and best of all they haven't aerated the greens yet. The staff is always friendly and the facility is top notch. Best tip. Hit to the left side of the fairways to avoid water on the right. Do yourself a favor and check it out.
