Coppertop at Cherokee Hills Golf Club

Haven't been here in many years. Course is in great shape. Very tight fairways and well protected greens with false sides on every single green. Speed and conditions of greens were very good. If you're newer to the game this will be a very tough round for you. The staff here was very pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a good challenge.

Coppertop is a nice golf course. Let me start with the positives. The gentleman that rang us out was very nice and welcomed us knowing it was our first time there. The approach in the first hole was very pretty and set the tone. The course is more challenging than I expected based on the hills and trees so if you want to be tested, this is a good start. I’m a novice so I need a course that’s a little more forgiving. Be prepared to lose balls in the water and the woods, but that’s no fault of the course. The people working there were sensational! The course was in great shape! Love the layout! Greens were a little shaggy maybe due to the rain the day before. But the price was right!

I threw a 60th birthday party for my mom this past weekend at Coppertop. I cannot say enough good things! We had a family emergency the night before the event and we were not sure if we could have it. Donna was more than accommodating and understanding. Vic was amazing and so helpful. He helped me set up the night before and was great with anything we needed the day of. The food was amazing, we had the BBQ package and I can’t recommend it enough. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely come here again!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Coppertop on 8/28/21. Donna Murrell and her team at Coppertop were an absolute dream to work with. As soon as we met with Donna we knew we wanted to work with her. She was honest and up front about every piece of the venue, cost, and our event. Everything was reasonably priced and the food included was delicious. Any time I had questions or needed to go back for measurements, Donna would get back to me right away. Challenging Course with Great Staff: Have played here a couple times and enjoy the challenging layout that makes you think and plan out the way you want to play the hole vs. just grip it and rip it. The greens were in very good shape - especially for just having an outing right before our outing. What impressed me even more than the course was the staff. Everyone was helpful and friendly and saw several examples of employees going the "extra mile". Hard to find at most golf courses and makes me want to tee it up at Coppertop again.

For anyone to say this course.is well maintained clearly hasn't played many well maintained courses. The fairways were in terrible condition. The greens had alot of rough spots. The course would be pretty in the fall but being pretty doesnt make it a good course. Then to charge $95 for 2. Good grief. Outrageous and definitely not worth it. Maybe $35 for 2. Definitely a miserable one and done for us.

I got married on 9/7 at Coppertop and I want to give them a HUGE shout out. We were the first wedding in their new pergola/ceremony area. The event coordinator - Donna Murrell - is THE BEST. She repeatedly set my mind at ease on details. She accommodated every single thing I asked for, she had awesome suggestions, responded to emails quickly, sent us with a golf course ranger for pictures so we could politely interrupt golfers, and made sure rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, pictures, the ceremony and the reception went smoothly. Love the course and its layout. Disappointed in my recent experiences. I played a few saturdays ago during a downpour. There is a sign on the front desk saying that rain checks are determined/approved by the course and they told us to go out. Starter asked “how my backstroke was” as a joke to put that in context. Greens flooded and everything. No issue with it, playing in the rain is a fun challenge. Had a tee time today at 6:09. Got to the course and the place was empty at 545 with no rain and the sun peeking out. No communication at all that they had closed early due to previous weather. G…

Had a tee time pass rate for $23. However, course would not honor it as there was a problem with the app as it could not be verified as redeemed. I ended up having to pay full senior rate, which was more than $20 more. The greens and tee boxes are in good condition, but fairways are a bit burned. Servers at the food counter were friendly and fast. 2 beers, 2 dogs, and 2 Gatorades were $25, which is not bad. However, I will not be back as I was a bit irritated at not getting the discount. I could have played many other courses that are better for $45.

I’m from Texas and visit relatives in the area regularly. This is one my favorite courses. Greens were in great shape and fairways lush and well maintained. Course is challenging but not overly difficult. Staff is friendly but don’t expect fancy service. Greens fees inexpensive thus a great course for the value.

Interesting layout, but course condition was not great. Fairways had a lot of damaged areas and the greens were not well maintained. Pro shop has golf balls and pretty much nothing else.
