Shoreline Golf Links at Mountain View

I visited the grounds today and was sad to see all the trash in the areas with water where there were several species of birds. Lots of bottles, cups, plastic wrappers, with no trash cans around.

I was hesitant to play here because I assumed thr course would be very windy. I loved playing this course. Very open, links style course that was very forgiving and in great condition. Price was very reasonable considering what tee times cost nowadays, and it was just a very fun course.

The course features a mix of long par 3s and 4s, with water hazards adding strategic depth. While the greens are well-maintained, they are slower than average, and some fairways are brown and in need of TLC. The facilities, including the clubhouse and pro shop, are excellent. With its beautiful setting and environmental focus, Shoreline is a good choice for golfers in the Bay Area.

There is a golf course right behind the Google campus. Hit 100 golf balls on the golf range. Overall, the atmosphere is nice and quiet. The price of 100 golf balls is $17. As you can see in the photo, the range is shorter and smaller than other golf courses. And there are telegraph poles around the golf course. If you take the time to play a round of golf, be careful.

I would definitely choose Shoreline over Baylands, as you pay 3 times less with similar but better experiences here in Shoreline. And I would definitely recommend to play here in the afternoon, the endless plain with the shoreline, and the 🌇 sunset, you're relaxed 😌.

Great course. I love coming with my grandson. The pro shop staff always friendly and even the person who gets the cart is super friendly. We like going early to start the day off with wonderful scenery and a good walk. Nice views, nice course, nice people and a great course right on the peninsula.

The course is decent but not excellent. The green is good but the fairway has lots of animal holes. Not sure it is gopher or squirrel. You may lose balls due to these holes. It happened several times when I player there.

It’s been over 10 years since I’ve played here. TeeOff had a deal of $38 with cart at 12:02PM on Friday, I and some friends booked to play without paying any fees. It was a quiet afternoon, the fairways are ok with uneven grass after a few weeks of heavy rains. The greens are healing from the aeration a few weeks ago. Some greens still have some sands but the grass is growing nicely. It’s a long golf course if you play black, white is quite short with 6000 yards. Course layout is excellent and very peaceful. many holes have beautiful view of lake. Being built in land fill, growing green things is not easy task and maintenance team did great job to keep the greens and fairway decent shape. You will company many wild animals and birds. Only uncomfortable thing is the availability of drinking water. They have only water fountains (3), two are right next outhouse. All of the water fountains don't look like ever been cleaned. I couldn't let myself drink water from that fountains. If you play hot days, make sure pack enough water. They have no food truck.

My home course. Now it’s filled with a bunch of hacks. Pace of play is slow, course is usually in rough shape. Most bunkers are terrible- no sand. Greens are getting pretty good though. They finally updated hole 12 and 18, but a long way to go.

Shoreline was my daughter’s home course for PGA jr. league. It has some challenging holes and is well maintained. The staff there are great. You can see a Coyote once in while on course.

Beautiful course. Similar to Baylands. Nice and flat. Google building near it is amazing. Many animals too!
