Sunnyvale Golf Course

Overall the course was in a decent condition except for the bunker and green. As we had some rain in the week, the sand bunker was not sandy any more. It seemed there was not much of sand originally, and it completely flattened down from the rain. Putting for me was very difficult and later I found that it was not just for me. Seemed like the greens were not maintained for a while..

Course has no driving range or cage to practice. Putting green was sanded recently so putting practice was not true. Carts were, generally, in good shape. Some seats had tears in them. The course was in good shape. Greens rolled true. Fairways were pretty clean (except for the geese droppings). Rough was pretty rough (lots of lost balls in the 4-8" roughs). If you hit a pretty straight ball, you shouldn't have any worries. If you don't, bring a couple extra sleeves of balls.

Good course to play, has its challenges but nonetheless in good conditions compared to years past. Greens could use a bit of work along their bunkers, fairways are the exception, well kept and rough areas have improved. The improvements on the course are noticed however I would hope that would translate to the customer experience. Few times I’ve walked into a pro shop and not feel welcome, today was yet another reminder why I don’t play the course as much. Nice, forgiving golf course within 10 minutes of most South Bay locations. We typically play twilight and the holes look beautiful and play is not too challenging. But there isn’t a driving range to get warmed up. There is a restaurant right above the proshop for a drink afterward. A shack at the 3rd tee sells beer and snack (which closes at about 4 pm). But he way the 10th hole is right in the landing approach of the Moffet airfield - you might catch a flight landing right as you take tour tee shot. Oh the course is right by 101 - so the highway hum is sometimes annoying.

Course layout is very good. Greens are mostly true. Maintenance could be better. Most players don't repair pitch marks or rake bunkers. Drought conditions, therefore no water bodies, but the "water" hazards are still challenging. Prices are excellent. Pro shop staff (Jake?) was friendly and helpful.

Sunnyvale is a golf course located across the Southbay Freeway, you literally play golf along the freeway. The interesting part is to drive the cart underneath the freeway to the next hole. Not much design, but certainly a nice course to play in, if really have to pick one, Hole 8 is that you tee off right by Samsung Research Center. (Make me want to work in Samsung 😄).

The disrespect and rudeness of the staff is beyond 😤 tolerance. Checking in was just ruining the experience. The Marshall can't be more rude and interrupting..more can be achieved being polite than condescending and disrespectful. The course is below average and doesn't have any visual appeal, location is good, but nothing to enhance any experience. Seems the owners could care less give number of complaints about staff

I picked hot and muggy to play and there is not enough tree to hide from sun and we should rented the golf cart. Anyway, it was fun and most of the water in the pond dries up and you will not loose any balls LOL. Nice course and I would go back again. I wish they have someone selling water at course 9 and 10. I was dying from the heat 😂 New update and why I am giving 4 stars . They seem to run of driving cart after 2 pm and get ready to walk. I don’t mind walking but having a cart save time for 18-holes golf course. I prefer Moffett where there are more driving cart.

It’s been a while since I’ve played here. The price is not as good as Santa Clara on TeeOff and the course is not as well kept either. I tried it on a week day and it was slow, the fairways are hard at some, the grass is brown at some parts, the greens are bumpy. The golf course is short but quite challenging for me at some holes. It wasn’t a busy day, but there are groups that are so slow holding the pace down tremendously.

Absolutely horrible service. As someone else already mentioned, the staff here are completely unwelcoming. Our tee time was 6:45, and by 6:47 the marshal was already telling us we were “too slow.” Seriously? We finished the entire round in under 4 hours, but they still came out THREE different times to push us. It ruined the whole experience and affected how we played. We came here for fun, not to be harassed and rushed around like this. If this is how they treat paying customers, I can’t imagine why anyone would want to come back. We waited every hole. Can you see the picture? There are five of them playing golf. The clubhouse didn't hold them back and didn't give us any notice for our next tee-up.

Google map brought me to strange place. Nice field condition but 5 people group is allowed and it caused long waiting. To finish 18 holes it took 5 and half hours.
