Simi Hills Golf Course

A top-tier muni course known for its meticulously maintained fairways and fast, undulating greens that offer a rewarding challenge. Green fee is very reasonable, and the pace of play is refreshingly smooth—no long waits, just pure golf enjoyment. Definitely playing again.

Always an excellent time at Simi Hills. The prices are great, the course is beautiful and well maintained, and the customer service is on point in all areas. Even if you don’t golf, the patio at grill on the green is a great place to kick back, relax, and have a drink. Shout out to Tim at the golf shop, he’s always super accommodating!

No I did not miss my tee time. I did not want to pay the weekend rate on a week day. Asked for a refund and apologized for my mistake of not understanding that Friday is a weekend. only to be billed another $10 for canceling my tee time. I did talk with Blake Lapham about the situation. He just followed the "policy". I tried to explain to him that customer service might be more important than charging me the $20. Convenient to reach out from San Fernando Valley. Nice view, calm and well harmonized landscaping. Golf range is not too big like Balboa, Van Nuys. Sun roofs weren’t there, so need sun cream and a cap. Medium range ball $9. Overall is good.

This golf course is hidden gem in Simi Valley. Green fee is reasonable and course condition is very good. Staffs are friendly and parking spaces are plenty enough. They are offering 50% for Junior golfer on range ball. Range is ordinary but they are good enough. And bathrooms are clean.

Simi Hills Golf course use to be one of the better municipal golf courses, however, in the last year or two they have neglected (no I believe, refused to invest) in the golf course maintenance. the fairways are patchy and hard with different grass types, some areas are dead grass or just bare. The bunkers are mostly gravel and stones or a mud pits when it rains or irrigation watering. The driving range balls have seen better days, no consistency, some are really rough, and the price is above most other golfing locations. Golf carts are expensive to rent and not that good. I'm a charter member and love the course; but not a fan of their cart policy - not customer friendly. Los Robles, River Ridge, and Olivas Links are more accommodating, so that's where I've been playing for the past several years.

Unfortunately, I can’t give a zero… overall experience was disgusting and horrendous. The front desk (Tim and Dave) as well as a pro player (Blake) representing the course were beyond disrespectful and degrading. Good public course with reasonable rates. Beautiful scenery and maintained fairly well. The only downside I would say is that they don’t monitor pace of play. It took us 3.5 hours to play 14 holes. We ended up leaving due to darkness. We paid a twilight rate so that is ok. However, lots of hurry up and wait. If you go, try and go on off hours. It will be worth it.

This review is for the staff, shop, driving range and putting area. I have not tried the course yet but it looks fun! I went on a Thursday in the middle of the day. The girl who helped at the front desk was nice and they had a nice selection of clothing. There were also used clubs for sale. Got the chance to play Simi Hills today. Wow. What a fun golf course! Met 2 strangers on the first tee that became quick friends. The layout is fun and a lot of interesting decisions being made off the tee. A lot of strategically placed bunkers, too. If you are in the area, I highly recommend you play here. Know I’d make a few different decisions playing it a second time. But what a fun day of golf!!! Can’t wait to come back.

Love the track at Simi, always a challenge from any tee box, Greens play true and pin placements always on point. Now, yes its my fault for making it in the sand trap in the first place, but damn I wish it was sand and not clumpy chunks. Ill work on hitting the greens.
