In summary

Sleepy Hole Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained greens and fairways, accommodating staff, and beautiful setting, making it a popular choice for both casual rounds and tournaments. The course layout is appreciated for its mix of challenges and accessibility, and the clubhouse amenities, including a well-regarded restaurant, add to the overall positive experience. However, some visitors have noted issues with unrepaired ball marks on the greens, which can detract from the otherwise excellent course conditions.

Decided to visit this course on a random day over the weekend. It can be rather busy so make sure to call ahead. Pretty affordable course we paid $30 for nine holes which included a cart. Definitely will be coming back to do the 18 hole course next time.

My sister in-law and brother in-law hold a golf tournament here every year the first Friday in August. Disclaimer, I don't golf, I just volunteer for the golf tournament. However I can say from a volunteer prospective that the management is great, the facility is perfect for this event and they work well with the organizers and volunteers. The golf course is beautiful and the facilities are clean.

One of my favorite local courses to golf. The price on the weekdays are fair, EXTREMELY MILITARY friendly, pro shop gentlemen is great. Diner side is AMAZING and sweet ladys working it. The course is well maintained, fairways and greens are good. That's saying a lot considering we've had no rain. Keep up the great work guys.

From the moment I pulled onto the property, the golf experience was nothing but class. The pro shop staff were friendly, accommodating and very welcoming to 2 guys from out of town looking to play the course for the first time. The layout is great and it’s a bombers paradise (especially for faders of the golf ball) I had a wedge or short iron into most of the par 4s and all of the 5s were reachable in 2. Par 3s were fun and the greens were rolling true. After the round, we had a drink in the Adirondack chairs overlooking the 18th hole which is one of the best finishing holes in the state. If…

Great spot for a casual round. Greens were well maintained and consistent, fairways were nice and the folks in the clubhouse were friendly and helpful. Ordered food on the 8th green and picked it up without delay after finishing the 9th. I had the chicken wrap; hot, filling, delicious and easy to eat. Definitely will come back!

11/10. Definitely worth the easy drive from Va Beach. Special thanks to Katie in the pro shop for taking care of my Dad and I to celebrate our birthdays. Course does the little things right. Greens and tee boxes are in great shape. Cart girl came by no less than six times. Call ahead service at the turn was ready to go. Best view of any driving range in Hampton Roads. Keep it out of the trees!

The course was in great shape. The greens were great to but you can tell tell that the players are not using golf educate and fixing there ball marks. That is all on the players not the golf course. And I had the pleasure of dealing with Katie in the pro shop who some one here have said she is rude and disrespectful, that couldn’t be farther from the truth. She was absolutely fantastic!!! And the food was great as well. I truly would recommend giving this golf course a go. I will be going back.

As always, a solid course for the money. The greens are usually consistent and the fairways trimmed and maintained. Sand bunkers are actually made of sand. Staff is courteous and work with the players to make them comfortable. Carts are electric and fast but not too fast. Beer and liquor is provided by the cafe and occasionally there is a beer cart that drives around as well. A solid course that I plan to attend for many years to come
