In summary

Cypress Creek Golfers Club is appreciated for its scenic layout, friendly staff, and well-maintained fairways, with many enjoying the challenging yet rewarding course design. The clubhouse and restaurant have received positive feedback for recent improvements. However, there are recurring concerns about the condition of some greens, with several reviewers noting issues such as bare spots and crabgrass, which detract from the overall experience. Membership pricing and clarity have also been points of contention for some visitors.

Unfortunately, new management has made some changes that have seemingly been focused more on profit than their customers. Green fees have increased and the value has definitely decreased. From a golf perspective, course layout and conditions are pretty good with the greens being in hit or miss condition depending on the green itself or time of year. My biggest gripe is the driving range. Very poor range setup and they have now eliminated being able to hit unlimited balls for $20 and instead charge $14 for a “large” bag of about 75 balls. I was very interested in joining the club in the recent…

8/2025 Update:: I’ll say we’re at about a 3.5/5. I’ll start with the bad first: -Played here twice in the last couple months after being gone for 9 months. Had high hopes but greens are in rough shape. If you like putting through crab grass sprigs, bare spots, and pitch marks you’ll love these greens. Pretty disappointed for the price. -Membership prices are too high for this. Memberships are high and quite frankly complicated and don’t really make much sense when you break them down. -Range balls are not included with twilight (even though it’s listed as included). -FIX THE GREENS, please!!…

This is an excellent golf course in southeastern Virginia. Always in excellent condition. Challenging but super fun layout with fast and challenging greens. The staff is super friendly and always willing to accommodate. Very affordable compared to other courses in the area. A bit of advice. Keep the ball below the hole on approach shots. You don’t want downhill putts on a few of the greens. Virtually impossible to get the ball to stop at the hole on some greens. Love this place.

Great course. Our High School played a tournament there and the course is beautiful. Located right on the water the back nine have some epic views!

Disappointing.. Some tee boxes are bare and full of weeds.. Greens have bare spots and have crabgrass in them.. practice facilities are nice.. we had the second tee time of the morning and the starter tried to force a single in between our and the next tee time. Just some friendly advice, have your staff members wave or say hi and interact with people paying money to play at your course. Just didnt enjoy the vibe or the course conditions.

The course is in great shape, especially the greens. The greens are a good challenge but not so impossible it’s frustrating. The new owners are very kind and are running things right! Not overcrowded either like some courses that put tee times too close together.

Dog track with nothing in the pro shop, staff couldn’t care less, hardly any food for golfers. Haven’t played there in over 5 years and remember why. Don’t waste your money

If the course isn’t in good shape, please stop charging $75+. Some of the greens are downright embarrassing (9). Love the course but please fix the greens!
