Southern Oaks Golf Club

My favorite place to be! Love their driving range (when its not mats only). Friendly staff! The only negative thing is drinks are so expensive, but its comparable to the rest of the courses.

Played 4/24/26. If I could rate this place lower than 1 star I would. This Trac once was "the place to play". Now, it is a shell of itself. Rocks and bare dirt all over the fairways. Greens are mostly bare. It is difficult to keep bermuda from growing, but somehow this place does it. If you can play somewhere else, please do. Not worth the crazy fees they charge. All doors to and from the clubhouse are locked, not sure why. Other than that...love the layout. In closing...GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

Played the course 5/5/26. The courses fairways are in great shape. The greens on the other hand are getting the work they need, all 18 green were being sanded. Here's what wasn't cool. My 4some group was having a after round drink and laughing . When the guy checking golfers in said "keep it down y'all getting on my nerves". Some people should change jobs if you don't like the one you have. ijs

The course is ok. But the greens are absolutely TRASH - $72 to play on completely dead/ruined greens. Insane.

This is a good track. For winter conditions, it was in very decent shape. The greens were fairly consistent throughout. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Southern Oaks is a great golf club that’s very challenging and provides some challenging shots. The staff is very helpful and friendly and they have provided some great golf lessons for our kids. There’s a very nice practice area as well. If you like tennis, they have some really solid tennis courts as well. Overall a great course that’s very challenging and lots of fun.

Great course. Definitely will make another trip out here. Greens are some of the best I’ve played on in this area.

If you like to practice and work on your game this is the best practice area in DFW , they have a really nice chipping area that you can practice any shot up to about 75 yrds. A huge separate putting green , and the best driving range , it even has top tracer technology that allows you to hit balls into the range and it charts it on a tv screen for you. It also keeps track of every shot so you can review the data later. It’s pretty awesome place come check it out.

nice course overall! If anyone found a M4 taylormade pitching wedge, please let me know! I lost it there but pro shop said nobody returned it.

Guys this is a nice place. Covered driving range. Decent drink prices. The cart girl was able to come by four different times during our round of golf. Carts were nice. The course itself is lovely, and was well cared for. I did feel a little cramped on some of the holes in relation to how close the houses are, but it is easily doable.

Course is in decent shape, greens were good, fairways a bit soggy from the ice storm. Grounds crews have been working around the greens throughout the course for a while now.

Staff is great! Golf course is always in top shape. We play every week and it never disappoints
