In summary

St. Andrews Valley Golf Club is highly praised for its beautiful course design, well-maintained fairways, and friendly staff, offering a welcoming atmosphere and a first-class experience. The club is also appreciated for its unique winter initiative, allowing dogs to roam off-leash on the property, which has created a strong sense of community among local dog owners. However, some visitors have noted challenges with firm greens and occasional maintenance issues, such as unranked bunkers and pitch marks on greens.

Its a beautiful course. Some of the holes are really well designed. The greens don't really hold though. Getting the ball to check on these greens is definitely tougher than most courses. Greens are firm and can be tough to putt on too. But all in all, I always enjoy playing here.

We are so lucky that Dave opens up the golf course during the winter months for the public. Being able to take my dog and have him off leash is so wonderful and we truly appreciate the opportunity. My only complaint is against other dog walkers and I wish more owners paid attention to cleaning up after their pets :)

I can't say enough good things about St. Andrews Golf Course and their incredible decision to open the course to dogs over the winter months. As someone who loves both golf and my dog, this gesture means the world to me. The course is beautiful and seeing it transform into a spacious, dog-friendly haven during the off-season is just magical. My dog absolutely loves it—plenty of room to run, sniff, and explore in a safe, beautiful setting. It’s not just a walk; it’s an adventure every time we visit. Kudos to the team at St. Andrews for recognizing how special this is for dog owners. It’s a ra…

We cannot thank you enough for the wonderful opportunity for our dog to roam freely on the golf course during the winter months. We truly appreciate it, and our big dog enjoys it even more than we do. Thank you as well for regularly clearing the paths and for using no salt. It makes walking much easier for us and allows our dog to run safely and stay healthy. We genuinely appreciate all of this.

We have been coming here for several winter seasons. We cannot begin to express our gratitude to the St Andrew’s Valley Golf course for letting us bring our dog, Juno during the winter months to run leash-free on their paths. This is a wonderful act of kindness and generosity to our community. There are many dogs that walk the paths with their humans and all appreciate the opportunity to walk and run and play on this space. This is a great example of how a business owner supports the recreation needs of citizens. You deserve the Citizenship award. We wish you continued prosperity and hope we…

We take our two Springer Spaniel girls here of a weekend in the snow to get a good run and they adore it. We're incredibly lucky to have this winter facility nearby. Most owners pick up after their dogs but a few are oblivious and should be more respectful. Thank you to the owner of this golf club for providing this service!

I want to say a huge THANK YOU to Dave and the St Andrew's Valley GC team for the amazing generosity and effort that you put in to keep your course open during the winter months for the public to use. As a dog owner, this has been such a special and surprise blessing for people in the area. Imagine your dog having acres and acres of land to explore off leash on trails that are pristine, plowed and SALT FREE. Imagine being in a traffic jam not with cars but other dog owners and their beautiful dogs on these trails. Friendly faces. Friendly dogs. What more can a dog owner ask for? Thank you agai…

Great track to play at! The best twilight value in the area! The course is decently kept for a public course! Lots of mosquitoes due to high number of water hazards though in late August! For a long holiday weekend, the pace went well as managed to finish within 4 hours and 10 minutes. Saw one Marshall on the course so you know I’m the pace of play is being monitored! I’ll definitely come back for more twilight rounds!

I love coming to this golf course from November/December till about April or so to walk my dog before golf season starts up. My dog (Rosie) always has a blast and most of the other dogs have been so friendly. The good thing about the Golf course, is that the dogs can be off leash. The dogs always have so much fun running around/playing with their fur-friends. Another great thing about this place, is that my dad actually works there part time in the spring, summer and fall, so it’s a plus for him. I am not a Golfer, but I just like to come here to walk my dog😄🐾🩵 . There are so many acres of l…
