In summary

St. Josephs Bay Country Club receives positive feedback for its friendly staff, improved course conditions, and enjoyable layout, with recent upgrades to the clubhouse and pro shop enhancing the experience. Visitors appreciate the course's setting and amenities, including a nice restaurant and accommodating service. However, some guests have encountered issues with the condition of certain greens, slow pace of play, and inconsistent enforcement of rules, which have detracted from the overall experience for a few.

Enjoyed the course. Could probably be about 15 to 20 cheaper on price. Update: Price discounts are now available. Enjoyed a second round there this week.

I was in town for vacation and booked on GolfNow. The staff was so kind and accommodating. I try and find new courses when out of town and was really pleased with the experience. I had read old reviews before booking and there were some that were mixed, mainly older ones. The new pro shop was really nice and had some solid gear and options available. If we find ourselves back in Port St. Joe, we won’t hesitate to play again.

I recently had the opportunity to play at St. Joseph Golf Course, and I have to commend them for their great layout. The course offers a wonderful setting that enhances the golfing experience. However, I did encounter some challenges during my rounds, especially with the greens. They are undeniably awesome but can be a little difficult to navigate, which could make it a bit challenging for players looking for a more relaxed game. On the bright side, the staff at St. Joseph Golf Course were incredibly friendly, making the overall experience enjoyable.

Played golf here last week during my vacation. Was iffy after reading a lot of the reviews but decided to check it out on my own. One thing I have to say is the woman at the counter was very nice and helpful and I did read some people she was not nice. I had to rent clubs and everything bc I wasn’t expecting to play in this trip and she helped a lot! Rentals are rentals so can’t expect the best there. Course was in pretty nice shape. There were 3 holes that had fake greens due to them fixing the actually greens. Course is def tight and challenging which was great def keep your eye on where the…

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Easily one of the worst golf experiences I’ve had. First off, the staff is absolutely terrible—rude, unhelpful, and clearly playing favorites. We were told we couldn’t play as a group of six, yet we saw multiple groups of women playing with five or more people, no issue. When we brought it up, they gave us an excuse that “they were members so they can do that.” It was clear they were just picking and choosing who to enforce rules against. The course itself? A complete joke. The tee boxes were chewed up, uneven, and looked like they hadn’t been…

This golf course has great carts, wonderful fairways and a great time. I can’t give them a full 5 because the greens were extremely firm and super super fast. Very sandy and hard to reliably read. Other than that the fairways were very fun to hit into with some Challenging water and dangerous bunkers

Well maintained and well kept. Parking Parking with handicapped accommodating. Professional grounds for golf. Carts available. Can be busy, but not overcrowded. Nice restaurant on site. Clean restrooms. Little isolated, but makes for quite outing. Enjoyed the day.

A Hidden Gem with Big Improvements! I recently visited St. Joseph’s Bay Golf Club for the first time in a while, and I’m really impressed with the recent upgrades. The greens have improved tremendously—they’re rolling smooth, true, and in much better shape than in years past. You can tell the grounds crew has put in a lot of effort. The recent clubhouse renovations are a major highlight. It’s got a fresh, modern feel while still keeping that classic coastal charm. Whether you’re grabbing a bite or just relaxing after a round, the space is clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Overall, the cour…

They take good care of their field, and try to maintain the greens well. Customer service was pretty good, and the staff were all friendly. Their food was pretty good, the chorizo burger was delicious. Gave me a diet Dr pepper, instead of a normal one, but I didn't mind so much. Great price on 18 holes, and had some great distances on the holes. Overall, was a pleasant experience.

I have played here for 5 years and after putting in a new irrigation system St Joe Bay Golf course is in the best condition I’ve seen it. The clubhouse has been expanded and upgraded, new Pro Shop. I highly recommend you come play. Tom Davis

Greens were in good shape, tee boxes were decent, rest of the course was in rough shape. Lots of dirt patches all over the fairways. Staff was nice and clubhouse was nice. Not worth $55 though.

Such a slice of paradise! I ate at Dagwoods today, Patrick was my server and Jesse made my sandwich. They were both such great host and I highly recommend you visit!
