Stonewall Golf Club in Northern Virginia is highly praised for its beautiful course layout, stunning views of Lake Manassas, and well-maintained conditions, making it enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels. The staff receives consistent commendation for their professionalism and excellent customer service, enhancing both golf and event experiences. While the venue is also popular for weddings and events due to its picturesque setting and attentive coordination, some visitors have noted occasional slow pace of play and issues with bunker conditions.

Stonewall is a really nice public course located in Northern Virginia with stunning views of Lake Manassas throughout its routing. This Tom Jackson design is very player friendly and features wide fairways, large greens, and plenty of bunkers to provide for a fun round of golf. The conditions of the course were exceptional given the lack of rain and extreme heat much of the state of Virginia has experienced this year. The pace of play was really good for a weekend and the staff were great during my round.

This course was a solid 9/10!!! Being greeted at the car where somebody picked up the bags and had them ready to go on the cart for us was impressive. Tee time includes range balls which is always a plus. Great customer service from everybody we encountered, from the pro shop, restaurant, starter, Marshall, etc. beautiful well-kept and challenging course. Fun “hit the green” challenge on a par 3 we weren’t expecting. Small areas of improvement are the bunkers are more mud than sand and the greens were a bit choppy at times. That being said I would not hesitate to make this a course I frequent…

When we were searching for wedding venues, it was important for us the food, wedding coordination on-site, ambiance, nature elements, and that we had to add minimum decor to the venue. And Stonewall Golf club checked all our wishlist, and most important of all in our budget. Sarah was the 1st person that got in contact with us for our first visit to the site, we love her clear and direct communication. After the first visit we fell in love with the place! But, we had to try their food, and went to the Cannon Brass rest. which the chef is the one in-charge of weddings and there food was amazing…

We photographed a wedding here in fall 2024 and it was fantastic! Beautiful venue, beautiful spots for photos, and great staff. We’re excited to photograph more weddings here in the future!

Stonewall Golf Club in Gainesville, VA is truly one of the hidden gems in Northern Virginia. From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted with stunning views of Lake Manassas, a beautifully maintained course, and a welcoming, professional staff. The course itself is in excellent condition, with a layout that’s both challenging and enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels. The fairways and greens are consistently well-kept, and the scenic surroundings make every round feel like a retreat. Price is pretty reasonable as well.

Played here on 20Sep and as in previous plays, the course did not disappoint. Greens were immaculate and ran awesomely. Course was overall in great shape considering they are always busy and the beautiful day more than made up for shoddy players. The views are quite memorable to say the least and some of the houses along the way are straight out of fairy tales. Staff had two separate events going on while taking care of golfers and all were super friendly, professional and accomodating, thank you for the tush you busted to make everyone happy. Yes, if you can play the course, do so and enjoy…

May 28, 2023 Great course, very scenic, quiet, was in good shape. Greens and fairways were firm and quick. Pro shop guy was friendly and they picked up our clubs in the lot. They do not let you take the carts to the parking lot after though, not sure why as there is nowhere to go with one. The course skirts around the lake from up above so some really nice views, wonderful houses and a great experience. Did also have a beverage cart out early which I appreciate, a lot of courses are not starting cart service till much later and we see them when we are 15 holes in. I definitely recommend this c…

I photographed a wedding at the Stonewall Golf Club early this month. Landscapes are stunning with lush green and water features, providing a beautiful and natural setting for photo backdrops. It also provides indoor ceremony opportunities. Recommend it to couples who are planning their wedding.

I got married here in October and had the most perfect day! Our coordinator, Sarah, was so thoughtful and helpful throughout the planning process and the wedding day. We utilized the ballroom, Brass Cannon restaurant and outdoor patio space to hold our 160 guests perfectly. The table settings, the food, the views and everything in between was perfect. I highly recommend using Stonewall or Brass Cannon for your private event. Thank you, Stonewall Golf Club, for an amazing day!

On September 24, 2021 my husband and I hosted a rehearsal dinner celebrating our son and his bride-to-be. I was utterly impressed with Events Manager Sarah Puckett and her Assistant Savannah Adair. They effortlessly guided me through the challenges of how to provide for guests with food allergies, and came up with wonderful alternatives to ensure everyone was served something delicious that accommodated their needs. As an added challenge, a large golf tournament was scheduled to end just one hour prior to our event beginning. I was concerned the turnover would be complicated and would prevent…

My fiancé and I decided to get married during COVID-19. The staff at Stonewall was amazing. First, they worked with us to create a "Mini-wedding" package that fit our needs. Then, two weeks before the wedding, when the capacity size was reduced again, they met with us to ensure we had the ceremony we wanted. The space in general was amazing. The inside was great, then we were able to take pictures outside and on the golf course. It was around the holidays so we were able to use their Christmas decorations. They were exceptional!!

I’m fairly new to playing and have only been out on this course once, but I make it a point to visit the driving range every week to practice. The course itself is beautiful and very well maintained, but what truly makes it a 5-star experience is the staff. They are consistently courteous, friendly, and go above and beyond to provide excellent service.
