Bull Run Golf Club

Bull Run is a beautiful course in Northern Virginia far from the hustle and bustle that is typical of the area. The course was in amazing shape for being the off season and was both fun and challenging to play. This is one of the better public golf options in the area and the staff were very welcoming and made for an enjoyable round.

Our experience with Bull Run Golf Club, Courtney in particular, was phenomenal. We recently hosted our wedding here and everything was perfect thanks to Courtney. Courtney was available throughout our entire wedding planning process to answer any questions, take measurements, etc. I am one who loves to be in control, but on our wedding day I was confident in Courtney and I knew Courtney would handle everything! Fun and fair layout, course in fine shape when I played. Greens rolled true although a bit slower than I like. The staff in the pro shop and snack bar were very friendly. I would definitely play here again.

Fun course, pretty good shape. Blue tee boxes need some work, lots of divots and uneven—had to play a bunch outside of the markers. Fairways are in good shape, but some edges of the greens were dead and crust. Would come back—hopefully to better tee boxes.

Bull Run is a beautiful course. The holes are pretty straightforward. The holes are forgiving with their layout, but hazards are well placed to make you're thinking ahead. There's no mid-rough; it goes from fairway to rough, and I lost several balls that were in-play and barely off the fairway. The course was in good shape from the tee boxes to the greens. The marshall was out and about all day checking in on everyone. The carts do not have a GPS or screen with the course map. The clubhouse is nice, as is the grille.

Course was in great shape. Fairways are green, rough is manageable and the greens were smooth and rolled true. Only real critique is the condition of the bunkers. Many of the fairway bunkers were literally raked fill dirt with many rocks, some golfball sized.

I played Bull Run on Saturday, Oct 11th. Range is below average. Golf Course is very nice, and fun to play. In my opinion, in Good Condition, not great. I really enjoyed my day, but did not feel that it was a $120 Golf Course

Nice course and club. I played there for a charity fundraiser. Checked their rates. Seemed reasonable. Well kept and maintained. The cart path concrete had some spots that need to be fixed. But beautiful scenery and quiet. Seemed NOT to be in the flight path of Dulles unlike courses in Ashburn, Chantilly and Centreville. Which was a pleasant surprise.
