In summary

Summertree Golf Course receives praise for its challenging layout, picturesque setting, and friendly staff, offering good value for the price, especially during weekdays. However, many visitors express concerns about maintenance issues, including poorly kept greens, fairways, and tee boxes, as well as inadequate facilities and management. Despite these challenges, some golfers still find it enjoyable and worth visiting, particularly for casual play.

I was bordering between 1 and 2 stars. Greens were long, patchy, bumpy, just generally not in good shape (ball needed 4 wheel drive). Fairways were also fairly long so you can imagine the rough. Tee boxes were not maintained. Cart paths were worse than Chicago roads. This course needs a lot of work to even be playable. It's too bad because we can use some reasonably priced decent courses in the area. Not looking for a private club, just a decent course.

Course was poorly maintained. Greens were mostly dead. Fairway was bumpy and grass was clumpy and tall. Clumps of cut grass everywhere. We had an 8:04 tee time. When we got there, club house was locked and maintenance guy had to give us key to cart. No access to restroom. We will not return.

I don’t want to give this course too bad of a review. Out of all the Hegan-owned golf courses, this is probably the best one. It has the most challenging layout, the most picturesque holes, and is probably the most fun to play. I never got to play Pheasant Valley before it closed, but that was probably #1 before Summertree. Regardless, it’s a fun course to go play. However, I feel like this course is being held back from its full potential. This course is nice, but under the right ownership, this could be a premium course. It’s a bit overpriced on weekends but after 3 on weekdays it’s definit…

We enjoyed our 18 holes at Summertree. The course was green and well laid out. The large trees added a good challenge to a few holes. The tee boxes were cut and in fine shape.. Although some of the greens look like they were recovering from some issues, we had a great time and the price was very reasonable.

Had an early am tee time, clubhouse was not open, guy from the cart house gave us a key for the cart, told us to pay when we made the turn. Ok that's fine, I guess. My biggest complaint is the fairways were NOT mowed, no difference between fairways and rough. On the up side, the rough was not that bad, mainly because of the recent dry weather. A couple of the greens had some bad spots but overall were not bad, albeit a little slow but there was a heavy dew so that affected the speed. The greens were mowed but there were clumps of grass from the mower everywhere on the greens, making putting a…

I could only play 8 holes due a severe storm that rolled in. (Early May). Course looked to be in decent shape. I wouldn't classify it as a prime course but for the price it seemed worth it. The staff was polite, including greens and grounds. Beer prices were $3. I'll be going back. Fyi the entrance is through a subdivision that is being built. There are signs on 101st. Just stay on the road you turned in on and you will find the course entrance.

Worst course I've been to this year.... Grass was horribly clumpy, from fairway to rough. You couldn't even tell the difference between the rough and the fairway due to the way the fairways were cut. The lines, from how the mowers cut, were awful. Cut from the mowers were very uneven also. You can just tell this course is not being maintained as well as it should be for the price, location, and clientele that come in there. Step it up!!! It was a great course for the past few years!!!

Course has really gone down hill. Golfed ona Saturday (5/22/21) and most of the holes were not mowed for at least 3 days. Guy who was actually mowing, showed up on his moped at 10:30am to start his day. Greens haven't been tended to in a great bit of time. There are a few holes where there is nothing but weed ground cover where the rough should be. Won't golf there again untill I see reviews turn around

Not Bad for the price. Good to bring younger kids to bc it's usually not packed. The crew seems nice. I think the 4th hole needs a lot of work but otherwise good condition for the price. Nice variety of layouts make it interesting enough to play here several times a year

Would give it 0 stars if I could . Tee boxes are overgrown. Can't differentiate the rough from the fairways. Greens are burnt up. And right in the middle of our outing yesterday afternoon they decided to water the greens and fairways randomly making us wait for 5-10min on several holes and making putting on soaked greens nearly impossible. Love the layout, but this place is poorly managed. Keeps getting worse every year.

The cource is one of the worst I've played in the area. The teeboxes are unmoved, the fairways have more dandelions then grass. And the greens roll fine but are incredibly spongy, kinda like rubber. So when you hit wedge or irons into the greens they dont spin well because of the bounce.

Very poorly scheduled for paying golfers whom set up a tee time. No information was given online when reservation was made that an outing was going on the same day. The outing was a shotgun start during the middle of our play with groups of six or more thrown in front of us. Took us 3 and a half hours to play 9 holes. Needless to say we did not stay and play the back nine because of this. It should never take 7 hours to golf 18 holes! Also, one of our foursome couldn't make it and we still got charged the $5 reservation fee for him. If I would have just called to make a tee time, that fee woul…
