I think this is the best place for practice and training in the Chico area. Especially for the newer golfer but also a great place for the older set to practice irons and woods. The driving range has mostly lively and new range balls (not those dead rocks that some other ranges have) There are trees for practice in the shade, and a great practice putting green. There seems to be group and individual lessons for all ages. The "pro", Ryan knows his stuff and is a GREAT teacher.( I heard that he was part of the group who helped make Chico State University number 1 in the US.!?) I think that quali…

Beautiful weather & Fall colors. Cheery customers. Sat, 11/9th @ 9:00 AM, kids invited to hit balls on the range & get golf tips and an opportunity to play in junior tournaments. FREE. Equipment available for use. FUN FUN FUN!!

The driving range condition is good. The mats are well-kept. The putting green could use some work. They had food and beverage. I didn't use the par-three course but it looks like it's in at least fair condition.

Sunset Hills Golf course is a terrific golf facility with really friendly & helpful staff. The greens on the course have been upgraded & the bunkers actually have sand in them. They are adding a new practice putting green. The old one will be for chipping.
