In summary

Swenson Park Golf Course is appreciated for its affordability, well-maintained greens, and scenic landscape featuring abundant wildlife and mature oak trees. The course offers both an 18-hole and a 9-hole par 3 layout, along with a frisbee golf course, making it a versatile venue for various activities. While many commend the friendly staff and quality food options, some visitors have experienced issues with customer service and slow pace of play.

Excellent municipal course. As far as I can tell from my research, it is the cheapest 18-hole course in San Joaquin County. The monthly memberships for both the 18-hole course and the 9-hole Executive Par 3 course are very affordable. At the time of writing this, it is $180 a month for (mostly) unlimited walking of the 18-hole, and $99 a month for (mostly) unlimited walking of the 9-hole course. There are no initiation fees. The landscape is gorgeous, with wildlife abundant, and large open fairways that are very forgiving for a slice or fade. Scattered ponds and bunkers add difficulty to the…

I've been coming to this golf course for 68 years and it's still a great place to practice and play golf. It has a full 18- hole course along with a 9-hole par three course. It now also has a frisbee golf course set up that annually draws the national frisbee golf crowd. For a public course it's maintained very well. My favorite area of the course is two pat-4 holes that are lined by 100-year-old oak trees. This is a shady and serene area of the course. I am critical of their decision to change the sequence of 9 holes. They changed the hole sequence a few years ago so you now end the front n…

Probably the best pure Par 3 course I've ever played in, layout is good, condition is good, also landscape is good, particularly the lakes around Hole 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, plus the nice house 🏠 surrounded by the lake, such an enjoy moment to play short games here. I like particularly Hole 6, 200 yards Par 3, need to tee off across the lake, plus the green is hidden in the back of few big trees, very skeptical design while a lot of fun. The most important thing is that there's a lot of trees provide you the cool and chilling shadows when waiting to tee off of your next hole, lovely.

Great experience playing here on Saturday. The course was in fairly good shape and the pace of play was fantastic. Also - would like to shoutout the guy at the clubhouse on Saturday morning (didn't catch his name). I mistakenly booked my tee time for Sunday instead of Saturday. He ended up helping me squeeze into a different time slot. Amazing customer service! I will definitely be back (and hopefully shoot a better score LOL)

I went this weekend for the Professional Disc Golf Tournament. My friend Jeffery McCormick is one of the professionals, and I was able to walk with him and 4 other pros. This isn't our beach Frisbee from years gone by. These guys are so good and amazing to watch. I paid extra for a VIP ticket so I could be on the course. After Jeffery's round, we had lunch and then watched the top disc golfers tee off. In this group was the #1 in the world. The gallery was huge walking behind these 5. It was very cool being that close to these guys. Hearing the disc whizzing by was incredible. Their accuracy w…

Another gem of a course where you’d least expect it. The maintenance guy clearly cares about his course as he was shoveling broken tees. Layout is wide open just about every hole, miss into the trees, you’ll be punished! Greens and tee boxes were excellent. Range wasn’t open and staff seemed a bit unorganized. Will definitely come back!

Just played yesterday with a good freind. I used my free golf pass won from 104.1 and the greens were excellent. Nice staff and delicious breakfast burrito.

Awesome to have this facility so close to home and available. Beautiful time of year to get out and enjoy a local treasure! Greens are always in great shape! Looks like they've put a putt-putt golf course in right by the first hole on the Magnolia course! Can't wait for it to open

The 18 course fairways and greens are in great shape right now... the rough is pretty rough, if you find the rough good luck finding your ball. The Fox's Den is remodeled and the food is Great! Fresh and cooked on order. Try the Swenson Cheese steak it's super good!

Disappointing experience at Swenson Park Golf Course I usually enjoy coming to Swenson Park to hit some balls or play a quick round, but my recent visit left a bad impression. As I was walking into the pro shop to get a large bucket of range balls, another man was walking out with two large buckets. When I asked the lady at the counter (Asian lady who’s often there) for one large bucket, she said she couldn’t sell me any because her boss told her not to give out more balls. I asked why she just gave the other man two buckets less than a minute before, and she confirmed she did — but still re…

My favorite course in Stockton. It’s affordable. It’s in pretty good shape for a muni. It’s fun, with a good layout and challenging holes, on both the championship and executive courses. Does at times tend to backup as there aren’t a ton of options for golf in the city. Especially at the price point Swenson offers.
