Taberna Country Club

We had a birthday party here with a band and dancing. The food was really good. It’s so nice overlooking the golf course and has the pool next door. This neighborhood is very comfortable and safe.

Tabernas is truly one of the great courses in Eastern NC. Providing greens that are well maintained and very challenging!

First time here , ordered just a cheeseburger on hole 7 got to restaraunt . Somebody took it . They told me it would be real quick to make another one , waited 45 min for another one . Asked can you please see what’s taking so long . Came back said he’s just melting the cheese on . Waited another 20 min . . Never coming back . Freaking rediculous .

Nasty , dirty , to much Halloween stuff. It's suppose to be a country Club . Not a backwoods dive . They don't change their table clothes . They have food stuck to and finger prints on glasses and silverware. I got diarrhea from eating there. All the servers was drinking alcove. Cooks smelled like cigerette smoke when they would go outside where guest come in . I do not recommend being a member or eating there . The golf course is the only nice thing

DO NOT GET MARRIED HERE. My wife and I got married here in 2022 and what we thought was going to be an amazing experience, turned into a disaster for everybody involved. We wanted to get our favorite places to eat to cater at Taberna, but the “Food and Beverage coordinator” aka Leslie Wheat, said that they would not allow that and that they were the only ones who could provide food because they didn’t want to be responsible for anybody serving raw food. So I got married here a couple months ago and was really disappointed in some things and they are not helping me with them just ignoring me so I figured it’s time to write a review first of all I got married in the middle of the summer obviously it’s hot and for some reason the a/c was broke and it was so freaking hot In county club no one told me it was broke I asked the food and beverage coordinator and she said it’s always like this when there is lots of people here and all my friends told me later how the staff kept apologizing for the a/c being broke so she lied to me and then I was told…

Golf course is great, is in great shape. Greens are a bit slow and don’t break as much as it looks. Staff is friendly and professional. Practice area is is excellent. Only complaint is that they offer discounts for active duty military only. Put in 30 years of service and they could careless, you don’t deserve a discount.

The golf course is in decent shape, greens are good. The reason for 3 stars is because of price, it's certainly not worth $48, and most definitely not worth $28 for a 10 year old. We played 18 and then wanted a replay of 9, I don't mind paying for an additional cart fee but $48 for me and and my 10 YO son? I would have left if it wasn't for him. They're a private club in the afternoon during the weekdays and all weekend. Also you must be a sheep to pay or they won't let you into be clubhouse, (mask). First time playing this course. Have played many rounds at its neighbor, Carolina Colours. Taberna was in very good condition today. Was told that the staff has been delayed on cutting the fairways this week, due to never ending rain in the area. So the fairways were a bit shaggy. Still not bad and very playable. The course is pretty open and forgiving for wide drives. Traps were well groomed and greens were soft and fast. Very little of the poa anna reported in other reviews. The course was in good shape from tee to green. They must only have local play as there was virtually no staff visible other than the young lady at the desk. The bag drop is a long way from the club house and when we checked in, the two foursomes took at least 15 minutes to get signed in and paid. Two ladies at the computer finally got things straight and we went back down the stairs to where some carts were parked. Alas, no keys in any of them.
