In summary

Talons Cove at Saratoga Springs is praised for its stunning views of Utah Lake and the Wasatch Mountains, as well as its challenging layout that appeals to golfers of various skill levels. The staff generally receive positive feedback, and the course is noted for its clean facilities and enjoyable play. However, some visitors express concerns about the condition of the greens and bunkers, inconsistent customer service, and the high cost relative to the quality of the course. Additionally, the pre-pay policy and occasional slow pace of play have been points of contention for some guests.

It wasn't a bad drive from Salt Lake City. The staff is very friendly, from the clubhouse to the café. Molly gives some nice pointers on your swing if you ask. We played the front nine and it was very enjoyable. The course is in great shape. Loved how fast the greens were.

Tucked away in a luxury community, with really nice views, robotic range ball machines and a fancy clubhouse, the $60+ rate seems to be fair and on point… until you start playing. The greens (see attached pics) are horribly unkept and inconsistent. They have the feel of AstroTurf over concrete like the grounds of a 70s cookie cutter football stadium. Some of the bunkers have actual decent sand. Others are like playing out of compacted gravel. I don’t mind tight fairways or thicker rough because that’s part of the challenge of the game but it’s not hard to keep the green areas better.

PSA as of 07/26/25 the greens are in bad shape due to fungus issue. They seem to be healing now, but every green on the course is in rough shape. I know it's hard to maintain quality greens, but just letting everyone know so you aren't paying full price for this. Love this layout and hope conditions can improve.

Awful customer service. Supposed to be one of the “nicer” courses in Utah county. Workers are rude half the time, aren’t good at communicating. There are much better courses in Utah County that also cost less. Greens usually have some sort of fungus or disease that are eating away at them too.

This course offers a fun and challenging experience, with stunning views of Utah Lake and the Wasatch Mountains. Every time I’ve played here, the course has been in excellent condition, and the greens roll true. However, it’s not ideal for beginners, as the native areas just outside the rough can make it hard to find lost balls. I highly recommend bringing bug spray due to the proximity of some holes to the lake. While the staff and place of play can be inconsistent, I’ve generally had positive experiences and would recommend this course to anyone.

Crazy to show up 3+ hours before they close and won’t allow a bucket of balls to be hit. I literally saw a group putting on the first green and I was told no buckets of balls were sold. They stopped selling buckets 3.5 hours before closing. Not happy they couldn’t make more money. Sounds like terrible management. Who runs this place?

For $70 I was expecting a lot more. It’s a fun challenging course that offers great views but just isn’t in good shape. Greens were hammered and unhealthy. Even the tiny practice green looked like an afterthought and was in awful shape. You can play much better courses for cheaper with better practice areas.

I usually really like playing talons cove. It’s never in super amazing condition, but it’s a super fun course and the views are amazing. I only put one star in the hopes that this gets attention. They need to get rid of pre pay only, it is just ridiculous. I don’t want to have to pay for everyone when I book a tee time for 4 people. Also, sometimes I want to pay cash which isn’t possible over the phone, obviously. Do what every other course does: put my card on file, let me (and everyone in my party) pay in person, and charge my card if we no show. Pre pay only is totally unnecessary and I’…

TalonsCove's lake and mountain setup is stunning—open fairways with wind play. Greens contoured fun. Luxury carts make cruising easy. Pro shop upscale but friendly. Salmon salad light post-round. $80's premium but earned for the polish. Pace top-notch. Bucket-list feel every time.

This venue was everything we were looking for and more. Beautiful Indoor/Outdoor spaces, spacious dressing rooms for both Bride and Groom, ability to bring your our catering, bar staff provided, day-of-coordinator, outdoor space for dance floo, and the VIEWS!!! Our day was perfect, it went off without a hitch and a lot of credit to them for all they day for us.

Course is good and views are amazing. Staff is just OK and General Manager, Kareen Larson has no customer service skills. You would think she would focus more on her customer service and find a way to make it a better experience for visitors. Price is too high for what you get and snack bar is closed all the time.
