TGC at Pleasant Point Plantation

Played course Jan 13th, 2024. From the start, the gentleman in the pro shop was very kind and helpful to me when I came inside. As for practice facilities, they have a nice driving range. I did not see a putting or chipping green, unless I somehow missed it. As for the course itself, I will start to say that the course was shut down for a period of time and recently opened back up in the past few months. This was one of the worst courses I have ever played. The greens were basically a beach and completely SWAMPED! The holes full of water and the bunker looked like a battle field. Though there were some scenic holes such as hole 11, which was my favorite part of the course. Other than the atrocious course the staff was wonderful and very helpful. Overall not the best experience, would NOT play again.

Played for the first time this week. The staff were super helpful and the course was pretty decent shape for being January. I can definitely see myself being a regular here.

Course layout is solid. #6 tee shot is near impossible. Hit it too far straight, it’s in the woods, too far right, your second shot is blocked by 3 trees. Most notably, you have about 30 yards dead straight to hit through since the trees are grown up. Great challenge for sure. Cart paths are pretty rough and the course does not drain. Some greens are good while others are slow and bouncy. Tee boxes were rough as well. #5 tee box was completely sand. Other than that, can’t beat $50 for 18 holes on a solid course. I’m impressed to be honest. Staff was awesome too! Would play again!

Honestly, a great course. Guy at the club house was super cool, and the general atmosphere was relaxed. Due to the reviews, I thought the course must have been in bad shape, but I'd say it was completely fine. Not once did I think a bad shot was due to course conditions. Also, good price. And beautiful scenery.

Giving this course 5 stars on the direction in which it’s moving rather than where it is now. (Otherwise I’d still have given it 4 stars.) Course is situated on some beautiful land, particularly the front half. For $50, I’d play it once or twice per week if I lived in the area, and given the $2500 all-inclusive yearly membership rate, I’d actually join if I were closer. I understand that the course fell into poor condition under previous ownership, and that the new ownership group has been working to restore it. Don’t waste your time or your money, regardless whatever deal you may find. The range is a joke…not a level hitting surface to be found. Tee boxes are mud. The “fairways”, if you can call them that, have little to no grass and the greens were ridiculously slow. We were treated like second class citizens by the clubhouse staff. It was like we were bothering her. Hell, we paid for 18 and quit after 9. That’s how bad this course is.

Would do a 3.5 cause of price and golf now issue but for Beaufort this is a decent course . Greens are slow and need to be rolled : will return. This course is okay and decent layout

Course is making great strides, Scott the operations manager took time to find us on the course and ask us how it was going and what we thought of the improvements as we had played there in years prior. The course is improving and the views are as good as ever. Great time for the money! Great meeting you Scott, keep up the good work!
