The Bog

Phenomenal golf course with a great layout, challenging but fair and in good condition. Played the Straits Irish course on the same trip and this course was every bit as enjoyable.. Would play again in a heartbeat. The staff were friendly and accommodating. What a hidden gem.

Incredible wedding experience - from day one to the day of, the staff and service at the Bog was phenomenal. Everyone was highly professional and kind - Mike, Brittany, Lilly and the whole team is top tier. We got so many compliments on the beautiful venue and the reception as a whole. The ceremony site was a great spot for the wedding. The Barn location and venue was beautiful inside and out. A very photogenic venue! If I could do it all over I’d change nothing. Everything was phenomenal.

I attended a wedding at the Bog and was blown away! The bartenders were so kind and knowledgeable and the staff was on point. Drinks were perfectly made and the food was so much better than expected at a wedding. The course as a backdrop was the finishing touch! What a hidden gem!

The Bog did an amazing job with our wedding reception! Brittany was amazing to work with leading up to our big day, and the rest of their events team covered everything so well on the day of. Our guests loved the bartenders, the brisket and barbecue chicken turned out great, and the serving staff handled all of the kids meals and dietary restrictions very well. Overall, they were very accommodating to our requests and had so many great spots to take pictures.

Spectacular course in phenomenal condition. Very scenic. I played the Palmer course at Geneva National last week and I would rate The Bog above that. More secluded, better maintained. Greens were fast and rolled true. Will definitely be back soon. Golf shop and cart staff were very friendly and accommodating (Thank-You Owen!)

At that time of the year to review new local businesses I attended throughout the year. We played in August and the Bog did not disappoint! Very fair pricing, great course, and great staff. I especially admired Justin in the golf shop- very young and professional with exceptional knowledge of the course. He was very accommodating and helpful. Great kid! Also, all the girls on the course were nice and the drinks were made well. We will be returning next year.

Great course. Very challenging greens Pace of play is intolerable Played yesterday. Pace was 5 1/2 hours. Every time I play there it’s at least 5 hours 15 minutes. 2 groups waiting on every tee box We asked for a ranger and the answer was there are no gaps !!! Maybe keep the front groups moving and the later groups will follow ! If you have all day to play , great course It will be some time before I play there again

The perfect venue — our guests are still talking about it! The Barn at the Bog was everything we hoped for and more. The staff was amazing. The venue itself is "cool" and original. We had at least a dozen guests tell us it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. It truly set the stage for an unforgettable day. Beautiful setting for both the outdoor ceremony and photos. Highly recommend.

Attended a wedding here. Lovely property with good staff. The views were stunning at sunset on the golf course. Great for photo moments. Only negative is that the bugs were overwhelming once the sun went down and everyone rushed inside.

I'd give it a 5 if not for grounds crew showing up on our first 4 holes. Why not work backwards from 18 then you wouldn't follow any 4 some. The course in very good shape.

I recently attended an event at the barn venue and everything was perfect! The staff was amazing, the food was also amazing and overall the night was great!
