In summary

The Captains Golf Club in Brewster, MA, is frequently praised for its well-maintained courses, beautiful layout, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for both casual rounds and tournaments. The club offers two 18-hole courses, Port and Starboard, each providing a unique challenge and good mix of hole lengths. While many appreciate the overall experience, some visitors have noted issues with slow pace of play and early closing times for the pro shop and restaurant, which can be inconvenient for late afternoon golfers.

What a great experience at a good price. We played the back nine at 7:15. We rented clubs and a cart and paid 80 each. The clubs were the new Taylor Made drivers and irons and putter. They gave you 3 balls and a bag of tees. The course is in amazing condition the fairways and greens were very well maintained. The course is a lot of fun with a good mix of par 3, 4, and 5’s. If you want to golf on the cape and need to rent clubs, definitely come to the Captains golf course.

Overall the course was good. Greens were good. A bit slow but understandable to keep greens a bit thicker than usual for this time of year . Checking in was good. Practice range is across the street down a ways so you need to use your car to get to the practice range.

The course is beautiful and so well maintained. Our group of 35 players all had a great tournament. The team at Captains all were so professional and friendly. Returning next year for sure!!!

The Captain's Course is a beautiful municipal gold course in Brewster on Cape Cod. It is a large course with a Starboard and a Port side of 18 holes each. The course is lovely but tight and many are long holes. Fairways are sometimes very close to one another. There is a clubhouse with a small bar and a grill where you can make a pitstop after the 9th hole. Also in the clubhouse is a golf shop where they sell very nice golf clothing, balls and other supplies. A fine way to spend a sunny day on the Cape! It can be gutsy though.

Great Cape Cod golf course in Brewster MA. 36 holes. Played the Pirt course. Course in fantastic condition. Greens were very well kept (and kind of slow). Bunkers had great sand. Easy to get to. Plenty of parking. Highly recommended.

2 well kept courses, manicured greens and tees. New carts, drinking water on the courses. Experienced personnel and a well stocked pros shope. The Freemans grill has fine food and a wonderful bar.

Maybe I'm just writing this because I'm the 2025 men's club champion (maybe not.) These 2 courses are exceptional designs, and 2 good tests of golf. The way that the courses are built into the natural landscape is something special. The conditions are usually excellent. Considering how much play they get, this is not easy to do. For those of us who own property in Brewster, it's an incredible deal on membership. For anyone looking for a place to play on the Cape, you can't go wrong.

Great spot. The course was sold out and we had a late (3:30) tee time so I thought it would be slow. We went off right on time, paxe.of play was excellent, course was in solid shape. Will definitely come back.

Great course! Nice clubhouse too. Typical high cape prices but course was in great shape besides the tee boxes.

Golf course was in great shape. Starboard side. Fun track. After our round we headed to the pro shop to buy some gear. Closed at 5pm while there were plenty of people on the course? No big deal, we will grab a bite instead ( we thought). Restaurant closed at 5 too!!! About 6 foresomes including my group intended to eat and drink. Weird business concept. Again it was 5pm with plenty of people on the course. Not an accommodating place.
