We have not stayed in the rooms. This review is to the restaurant. We called to make sure the restaurant was open. We were told it was. We watched other patrons finish and have their food cleared away while we sat at a table and no one spoke to us. Finally my husband went to the bar and asked for drinks. A woman who was not a waitress brought us water. No one ever came to take our order. They would walk past us and not make eye contact. They were not busy just lazy. We left after 30 minutes. I will never go there again nor would I stay at this place after this kind of service.

You. Check in to the hotel at the spa. It makes perfect sense. Lol. The spa is about 250-300 yards to the east of the hotel. We had to call and was told to check in at the spa as if that was common knowledge. While waiting in the hotel lobby for friends several parties entered the hotel looking to check in, we directed them to the spa. No signs in the hotel, no signs in the parking lot. You are just supposed to know. But the hotel was great, quiet, and nice views.

We have been TimeShare owners for a few decades now...it's a summer time hang out for me and the grandkids. We enjoy the view off the balcony that overlooks the marina, swimming is great at two pools, tennis and golf keeps us all active. Lastly, balcony dinners at sunset are just amazing.

We were placed in a room for $300 a night that was supposed to be out of order. we had to stay in that room the entire first night. they called me early the next morning to apologize that we should never have been put in that room so we were moved to a different room. I called to ask for a comp for the first night and the manager told me they decided that we didn't deserve a discount because we were moved to a different room the next day. Hopefully you get a room with AC in the middle of Texas in the summer. Super crappy management!!!

My husband and I stayed last weekend at the hotel and it was fabulous. The hotel has been completely renovated and is very nice. Our service was top notch. The general manager was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful time. We stayed in the villas, and they were very well appointed, and newly remodeled. We rented a boat slip for our boat, which was nice, since we didn't have to put our boat in the water and pull it out each day. The only down side was that we were not made aware that there is no boat trailer parking at the resort or the marina, and we had to drive back to the entrance of the resort and put our boat in a trailer parking area, unhook it and drive back to the resort. It wasn't a huge deal, but would have been nice for someone to explain this to us so we would have known to…

Celebrated my birthday weekend at The Cliffs Resort and we had a wonderful time! The staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean. The lake view was stellar and we enjoyed watching the sunsets off our back patio. Definitely recommend! We had not been to The Cliffs in 25 years, so it was fun to go back and have another enjoyable experience!

Stayed here for a wedding. Fantastic views overlooking the lake and the wedding was great but I didn't get a chance to utilize the facilities much while I stayed here. The spa is relatively close to the rooms but the pool is a good distance away and shared with the community. Breakfast was a buffet and was fine and my wife tried lunch from the restaurant and it seemed pretty decent as well. Normal quality for small town fare. The staff seemed nice but the cleaning was occurring at 5:00 at night which was kind of strange.

The staff was very attentive and bent over backwards to make a couple of hotel snobs happy. Not that they needed to, the Villa was fantastic and no detail missed. My wife loved the spa, I found the golf course the best I've played, and the boat we rented was in great shape. Not to mention it was right around the corner from Hell's Gate. The restaurant was first class casual, and the view was spectacular.

Stayed here a few years ago for a weekend golf special they offered at that time. I was impressed with the whole experience. We had played the course before on day trips from Ft. Worth, and wanted to play 2 days without driving back. The lodging, service and meals were all exceptional. This is a very scenic and relaxing environment. Well worth the package price we paid. The course itself is very scenic as well, just not as relaxing. Some demanding, but beautiful, holes. Vistas galore! Recommend both the Resort and course as a great getaway. Hope to make it back again soon.
