We just got back home from our weekend getaway at Great Escapes North TX. The cabins are comfortable, and all the staff were helpful and friendly. My kids loved our trip and we cannot wait to go back for another weekend. There is something for the kids/family to do every hour. Some activities cost extra but there are many activities that do not and they're all fun. This place has 3 pools (1 of them for volleyball) and a little splash pad on one side of the resort and the water slides splash pad area is on the other side. Kids loved going back and forth to each one. You can also play some mini…

We spent 4 days there as our first every family vacation! We went with 4 other families, including 13 kids total! From 7 years old to 13/14 years old! They all had a blast, the owners(?) Son Dominic hung out with our kiddos and became part of our group and made it complete! Lol he fit right in with our bunch and they all go along so well! So many things to go, cabins or rv spots are great! We had both in our group. My twins learned how to swim and how to ride their bikes without training wheels. Memories were made that will last a lifetime! We CANNOT wait to go back!

We took our grandkids for a weekend in June. The activities for the kids were great. They loved it! However, the facilities were terrible. Our pull in site was not a pull in unless you want to tear the roof off your trailer. The picnic table was unusable due to peeling of paint and warped boards and splinters. There was zero to little water pressure. So it was difficult to wash the kiddos off after a big day outside and the water tasted terrible! We will not be back.

We had a great experience during our stay in the last week of December. The park was fairly quiet due to the holidays, but we had an amazing time. The staff was outstanding and very friendly and helpful and we truly felt like we received VIP treatment, which we really appreciated The entire resort was clean and well maintained and For those who tend to post only negative reviews, I can honestly say this is a wonderful place to disconnect from work, find peace, and truly relax while enjoying the activities nearby, We Brought a 43’ motorhome and did just fine We will definitely be coming back…

We stayed here for a month while my husband worked on the power lines outside of Jacksboro. Any time we had questions or needed to change something on our reservation, the staff was always friendly and helpful. They had a lot of fun themed activities going on during the weekend and our son had a lot of fun! There are several different playgrounds, a giant bounce pillow, an RC track, a smaller splash pad with two pools and a volleyball pool, laser tag (typically only on weekends), mini golf and a few other things throughout the park! There are wash rooms and a laundry area/ facility, along…

I understand that it is better than last year but for those of us who were here a few years ago, it just isn’t the same. Honestly the only reason we came back for Halloween this year is because we were told over Labor Day that they were trying to bring back some of the previous workers. My kids were disappointed but we did see their favorite down the road at her pumpkin patch. We ended up spending a lot of the weekend there and the kids were thrilled! It is sad that a lot of the campers we talked to felt the same because this place was incredible 2 years ago. Having said that I will give the n…

A good spot for a weekend getaway with friends and family. Amazing staff who are really helpful at all times. The maintenance and the holiday activities are managed by a family of 4 members and they are really efficient at it. All said - the cabins are certainly overpriced for the basic amenities and features. Ideally it should only be at 50% of the quoted price for this to be a great value and anyone would give it a 5 star ⭐️ at that. The key attractions here are the splash 💦 pad with slides 🛝 which is great fun for the kids and family , the Wibit water obstacle course 🛟 which will be more c…

We had a great time here. Brought our motor home. The spots have full hookups no issues there. We were close to activity center and stayed most the day in there when it was pouring rain. My girls (3 and 10) loved the rides around the campsites on the trailer. Glow ride was awesome. My husband enjoyed a round of laser tag. Nice little dog park.my girls keep raving about it so the memories made made it all worth it ! Posting this in October we went for theme weekends and it was Halloween festivities ! There was a haunted house and trick or treating. We brought a bunch of candy and got to enjoy s…

False Advertising and Neglected Facilities I rarely leave negative reviews and I’m usually very understanding with small businesses, but I feel future guests deserve an honest account of our experience December 4–7, 2025. We chose this resort specifically because the website and CampersApp heavily promoted tons of family-friendly activities for our weekend: laser tag, mini golf, an activity room, Howdy Rides, dance parties, movie nights, Christmas events, and more. Videos on the site showed all of these attractions in action at this very location, so we booked expecting a lively, kid-orient…
