The Club at Runaway Bay

Booked this as part of RCI vacation. Self contained unit. Old and in desperate need of remodel. Spend the extra and upgrade to another provider.

Enjoyed my time here.... The lake was beautiful...rooms were chill. Steak house across the street...very safe my family and I felt....20 min from Decatur...1 hr from ft wrt.....but on a personal note it's a very very conservative area which I felt iffy because I'm super far left....but I promise you the people of this community are super nice no way did I ever feel uncomfortable I had an amazing experience here and will def come again....and the office lady is super chill she trusted me with the properties equipment like she knew me mind you I'm a 6 foot Mexican cholo homie....I fell in love w…

Great location. Beautiful view.The rooms are a bit dated but, very cozy. I would definitely stay again based on my overall experience there. There are several activities to do if you love the outdoors.

This place it’s not what they charge for it ! We have interval week but this place it’s not worth it ,service doesn’t exist , you can’t find someone to talk about a problem or any inquiry!! The rooms are very old and not well maintenance! Smell very bad !! The surroundings are beautiful !! The weather was nice but the time of thanksgiving ! In the lodge were a lot of bees 🐝! They have to take care of this , could be dangerous. You can’t even find the Lodge sign it is impossible to find at dark ,not even a decent lighting

Quiet, remote location, next to the bay. Went last Autumn. Weather was perfect. PROS: Bay View. Decent condominium. Clean and quiet surroundings. Management was very nice. Nice movie selection. Reba (golden retriever) was a high point. Perfect for relaxing, reading a book, and enjoying a good movie. ----------- CONS: Something biting us at night in bed. -------- One of its prominent features: crane flies - lots of them. Perfect for feeding a pet lizard.

DO NOT STAY HERE! If I could give 0 stars I WOULD! VERY DISGUSTING! Traveled from Louisiana and my family and I are very disappointed. Roaches, bed bugs, crickets, CENTIPEDES. Large amounts of hair in the shower, stains on the sheets (i think it was urine). We moved to this room after the FIRST ROOM HAD BLACK MOLD ON THE CEILING. We notified the owner about our problems and he told us to move to the room next door..0/10. Will not be returning EVER!

Not much to do but the unit we had was very clean, comfortable, and big. Yes it's old but it is also not a "chain" but is privately owned. They are working on upgrades and they deserve praise. We will definitely come back when in the area.

They have been the best. Gave me great rates. I come about 3 to 4 times a year. Recently, I came down for a passing of my brother. No question asked I came in and got with Barbara 4 days later never asked for a payment just kept asking about family. Wasn't worried about the money

This place is amazing. We had a waterfront condo and enjoyed very much. The condo is very roomy and kept up very well. Swimming, boating, fishing so much to do. There is grill's provided to cook whatever you would like and also picnic tables to sit at. Come and relax and enjoy the views. There also is many places close by to eat and grocery shop. We will be back.

We went to Lodge Condominiums on a timeshare exchange. The exchange was very unequal. It appears that a motel was remodeled, and that three motel rooms were converted to two condos with kitchens. The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen was nice. The staff were congenial. If you enjoy fishing this might be a great place, but if you don't fish there's not much to do. We did do some sightseeing, but everything was about an hours drive away from the condominiums.

Old but quaint. The condo is clean and has comfortable furniture. Fire place with a view right on the lake. Not high end at all but for a Texas lake lodging it's very nice. We checked in after hours and the key was in the lock box as expected. Office is closed today but we will register tomorrow when it opens in the morning.

The staff answered the phone on the first call and was very friendly and helpful. The rates are affordable - we stayed in a Deluxe room. It was clean, well kept and spacious. The Deluxes are on the water so you can just walk out and sit or even fish. I'll be back.
