In summary

The Currituck Club is frequently praised for its beautiful layout, well-maintained course, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for golfers visiting the Outer Banks. However, some visitors express concerns about the high cost of greens fees, additional charges for amenities, and occasional slow pace of play. While the course is generally in good condition, there are reports of inconsistent maintenance and customer service experiences.

$185 for a less than ideal experience. Greens are soft and slow. Fairways are in good shape. Course ranger had a god complex. Came up to us from the rear and my son asked “can you keep the twosome behind us off our ass”? He then says “ don’t swear at me”. Well, he wasn’t swearing at him. He then says they are members and this is a private course. Guess what, it’s not a private course. They sell tee times online Besides, member or not dial it back and don't be obnoxious. Went in to express our frustration with clubhouse mgr/director of golf. He was more concerned that I was leaning forward expl…

Went back here for the first time in about 10 years. Such a shame to see a once great course go downhill so much. When you are paying $200 per person for greens fees you don’t expect to get nickel and dimed on top of that. Range balls, tee, towels, and water bottles were all an additional charge. They got rid of their GPS, I guess it was too expensive along with all the other amenities you’d expect. The restaurant wasn’t open when we arrived. It opened right before our tee time but didn’t have any food ready for grab and go options at 7AM. The club/ball cleaner base rusted on the cart and had…

A must-play when visiting OBX. It's a little pricey and the back 9 is definitely more impressive than the front nine. Course was in great condition when I was there in late August. The staff/starter were very friendly and welcoming.

Similar to another review that I just read, our experience started fantastic. Someone greeted us in the parking lot, grabbed our bags and loaded them into our cart, And told us to proceed inside in that our car will be waiting for us by the range. Very quickly things went a little sideways.. We were in the middle of hitting range balls and were asked to start 15 minutes early (didn’t get to finish warming up). We signed up to play nine holes as a twosome and we got paired with two others. While we are not the best golfers in the world, we were thankful that they were not either so we were all…

Played golf twice during our stay in Corolla. The course is a great layout and was in excellent condition. On the first day we played, it took over five hours and we waited on every tee box. I was hopeful that the marshall would help, but like so many clubs, they just apologize. The second round was much more enjoyable and pace of play was better.

The course is good. It’s fairly well maintained and has a lot of fun holes. The major issue is the cost versus the nickel and diming. I understand the expensive green fees - when your in the northern OBX you have nomothetic option to play. However, if I’m paying $200 for a course, don’t hit me with an $8 charge for range balls. It’s insane to not have that as an amenity. I’ve played there every year for the past 5 years or so but may just forego the outing next year. We also saw a drink cart exactly one time in 18 holes - we played on a Monday morning in season. We had a cart break before we…

Kevin in the pro shop is the pinnacle of service. I work at a TPC and he took care of us the way I had expect my staff to do so. Big props to, Kevin. Thank you for everything. Will most certainly be back.

Beautiful layout and a wonderful course to play, just don't go in the rough or you'll pay for it as the Bermuda grass is unforgiving.

Conditions were very disappointing for the price. Played and only saw 1 other person on the front nine with us. Every single bunker had a bad rake job from previous players. Given the handful of people that played the day we did, it seems the grounds crew hadn't raked the bunkers in days. For what they charge it's not excusable. And as others have mentioned, a ton of unfixed ball marks on the greens, which again says grounds crew is not up to the job. I'm from the northeast just outside NYC so its very populated and courses see 250+ players a day. They look better than this course for 1/3 the…

Nice course. Very good condition. Nice layout. Expensive considering the following… Pace of play is terrible. Three hours for front nine. Group in front of us bailed. Two-hours Twenty-Two hour back. So, 5:22 total, which is apparently common according to other reviews. At one point on a par 4, we had four foursomes on the same hole (green, fairway, two groups on tee). No ranger. Saw beverage cart on hole three, but never again. Had to play one of the par 5’s as a short par 4 because wedding took over the tee boxes. That was just salt in the wound after a really long day.

Course is completely burned out and in terrible shape…they don’t ranger the course so you are on your own for a 5 hour round. All for the low low price of $200. Pretty sad, used to be a decent course.

Great shape and engaging layout. Good variety of holes. Challenging but not unfair if you’re a weekend player. Good rates in the fall and excellent pace. Lots of wide landing areas to let the driver eat. Greens were soft but still fast. Compliments to the grounds crew for the immaculate bunkers. I hit a lot of green side bunkers but the sand was so fluffy I was able to save par several times. An excellent course to play on vacation.
