In summary

The Divide Golf Club is appreciated for its country club-like atmosphere, friendly staff, and practice facilities, including a top tracer range. The course layout is generally liked, and some visitors find it to be a good value, especially during the week. However, there are significant concerns about course maintenance, particularly the condition of the greens and bunkers, with some players finding the greens unplayable. Additionally, issues with pace of play and management, as well as dissatisfaction with the booking process, have been noted.

I took a group of friends to this course this weekend, including one buddy who was only on his second round of golf ever. For $76 a head, we were hoping for at least playable conditions. What we got instead felt like the golfing equivalent of showing up to a fancy steakhouse and being served a shoe. The greens were shockingly bad — thicker and slower than a typical fairway that had been neglected for years. They were stitched together with random sod patches that looked like a blindfolded landscaper had attempted emergency hair plugs on a bald head at midnight. Putting became an exercise in fr…

I love the entire property at the divide! It almost has a public course country club feel to it. The addition of the top tracer range has really brought great attention to the course. The putting practice green is always in good shape and for around $50 for 18 during the week, it is now among the more affordable courses in the area. The Diamond Zoysia are fantastic and are always in good shape. I think only 1 hole on the course had some green repair going on. The clubhouse and bar area are nice! Stop in before, during, or after a round to pickup one of the best hot dogs around! Half price…

This course is returning to its former glory days as a certified cow pasture. And to celebrate, they’re raising their prices to compete with real golf courses that actually take care of their property. Seriously, it seemed like the new management team was on track to turn this course around a couple years ago, but they opted instead to put in a state of the art, wanna-be Top Golf driving range, (waste), brand new carts, and charge outrageous prices for an otherwise less-than-basic, less than muni-quality golf experience. Featuring North Carolina’s finest clay mud traps… sorry, bunkers, diseas…

The Divide is still one of our favorite courses in town and my group had a great round there yesterday. As noted by some recent reviews, the greens suffered with the summer drought, but they were in reasonably good shape (with a few exceptions) and it's clear that the course ownership is trying to improve things. Love the practice facility and the friendly staff.

Nice golf course in general. Greens have some burnt spots but guess they are trying to repair. A lot of wet spots despite no rain for past week. Fall season has ton of leaves on edges & i lost several balls under them. But I'd go play there again

I usually come here to the range to practice, and I finally gave the course a proper try. The last time I played was prior to the cart path being renovated. The cart path used to be God awful but it has been repaired and is now in great condition. We actually had no problem with the greens on the course nor the fairways though I was warned of potential issues before going out. My only recommendation at this point would be to fix all of the bunkers. My ball went in one of them (I forgot the hole number) but it was a mud trap, not a sand trap. Miserable hitting out of that. My club was covered…

It's sad, this used the be one of the best courses in town. The tees are in terrible shape and the greens aren't much better, but it's more about the course management. The last 5 times we've been it's a 5+ hour round. Today there was a 5-some in front of us and the group behind us (one wearing an undershirt, wish I could say young ones who didn't know any better, but that was not the case) thought it was OK to simply jump between us and the fivesome - guess they were getting tired of the 5 hour round too. Told the starter who said, "welcome to The Divide." Bummer, used to play here quite ofte…

Great value for the money. The staff was friendly and helpful. There were many high school students on the course, but they didn’t cause any problems. The course is narrow and runs through the middle of a residential neighborhood. Carts are gasoline powered. Lunch was simple, but not bad.

I never leave negative reviews... Booked online through their website with "Prioritee". Called shop to confirm it was showing on there end. It was not. They should get rid of this feature on their website if it does not work. The reason for this review is that I had to go through an Al bot to get a real human on the phone. Al bot is a lot nicer than the condescending pro shop guy lol.

Course is in need of maintenance on a regular basis, especially on the tee boxes and greens(see photos) The layout is very good and the pace of play is poor tee times seems to be too close together

Was not told when booking about 3 greens being completely replaced. And plenty of others with sod patch work all over them. But good thing they gave us a “discounted rate” of 75 dollars

I hate to do this because I used to love coming to this course but I can't say I'd recommend it to anyone. Charging $80 with half the greens presenting unplayable is simply unacceptable. Not having a notification on the website is also upsetting. Tee boxes and fairways are generally what I would expect but every green (that is actually grass) is like a shag carpet.
