Took the advice and played Olde Sycamore. Cheers to Justin and his entire team for the work that has been done. If you played when they were having issues, what a bounce back they are making. The new greens are hard, as they should be right now. Highly recommend heading back out if you had written them off. Can’t wait to get back out.

While in town for a family reunion, my brothers and I played here. It had been 5 years since I last played it, so I couldn't remember a lot about the course. Anyway, I enjoyed the course and found it to be an interesting layout. There are lots of doglegs off the tee, both to the right and left, so you needed to hit a variety of tee shots. I found the course to be in good shape. The greens are only several weeks old. They rolled well and were fairly quick, especially on downhill putts. They are very firm, which is normal for new greens without the thatch below that comes with time. The food and…

Being told to "hurry up," while giving a courtesy call to the pro shop to let the course know the group will be two minutes late for a tee time was a disappointing exercise in customer service. Course is in awesome shape. All the other staff were great and have been wonderful - especially the starter. But the experience with the pro shop staff was underwhelming.

This place is pure. Just moved to Charlotte 2 weeks ago and have been trying to explore golf courses in the area. I was hesitant because of the reviews over the past year or so but honestly, this place was fantastic. The greens are all brand new, not a single imperfection on them. The fairways are like carpets, and the tee boxes are the some of the nicest and most well taken care of tees that I’ve seen. Tough course too, but I had a good time. The staff were spectacular, the gentlemen preparing the carts with new tees and towels we extremely nice. I was the lead golfer this morning and the s…

Fantastic, the greens were in great shape. Layout is fun and challenging. Biggest issue was the staff. When I called to book a tee time I was met with immediate displeasure. They were acting as if I was a burden and not a customer. This continued when I went to check in and was falsely accused of not paying for my round. The theme continued thoughout the day. 8.7/10 course, 3.2/10 staff

Review as of 2/13/2026 golf course is in great condition. It’s been over 5 years since I’ve played it. Refused to go back due to the condition it was in. Greens are perfect , fairways for winter time are great. Once the grass fills in from where they removed trees this course will be top notch. Glad to see it come back.

Just played 2 weeks ago! Course is back. Fairways are great, new greens that are filling in. Always fantastic golf scenery. Great customer service and good golf experience. By the summer it will be a charlotte premium course again as greens fully mature.

Stopped playing olde sycamore years ago as they were always losing their greens and still charging full price. Gave it another shot today, Sunday 5/17. Got the second time off. Group in front of us, first group of the day, played to a 5 hour pace. Our threesome got paired with an unaccompanied minor who is still early in his golf journey. Bev cart showed up as we were finishing 18. Tables and chairs from a past charity event were next to every tee. And they still have work to do on their green complexes. DO NOT play here if it's on your dime.

Place is a complete joke and the course itself is never in good shape. Showed up to play and they literally tell me they don’t even have ONE extra cart for my girlfriend to ride with me.. Drove 30 minutes just to get turned away. Haven’t been to this course in two years for a good reason and I definitely will never return..

All around fun course to play. The only reason it's not a five star is the new greens. It will get better with time. The staff are friendly ans helpful. Would recommend you try this course!

The course is in much better shape than my game is right now. But enjoyed it. Really liked starting on the back 9, since #1 always gives me trouble. Regardless, great time with terrific staff. I'll be back.

The front desk people (Roy) are very rude and dismissive when you get a rain check you expect not to pay more when you come back even when you play on the same day same time the next week. However when we went to use the rain check we had to pay an extra $20. I felt like I was belittled and talked over the entire time that I was there did not listen to my concerns and they do not seem like they care about their customers. I’ll never be playing here ever again and I’ll tell everybody that I know never to come play at old Sycamore ever again. You pay so much money for course that is just mediocr…
