In summary

Charlotte National Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained greens, friendly staff, and enjoyable layout that offers a mix of challenges suitable for various skill levels. Many visitors appreciate the course's value for money and the welcoming atmosphere. However, some golfers have noted issues with the pace of play and occasional course conditions, such as hard tee boxes or wet areas, which can affect the overall experience.

Spent 12 minutes on hold, while listening to them chat in the background, for them to say “we really don’t do tee times for a single player a week in advance” and “to call back next week to see if a spot is open the day before”. When the guy said they book a couple weeks in advance. Seems odd, like they don’t want single players to play. Customer service skills could use some help.

Beautiful layout, pretty forgiving for beginners and plentiful in challenges for skillful players. Only downsides were the tee boxes had such hard soil it bent or broke a lot of our tees and the pace of play was pretty rough making a 5 1/4 hour round on a 110° day. Wish there was either a Marshall to keep people moving along better and/or more spacing between tee times. Overall great value and challenge for the money and we’ll be back

A fun course in great shape. We got around in four hours at an enjoyable pace. Friendly staff. Visiting the area from PA and ya gotta love the 75° weather on Christmas Eve!

The 2 recent bad reviews must have went to the wrong place. I was scared to playhere because of them. So glad I went. Conditions rival any regular private course. No bare spots in rough or fairways. Smooth greens. Dry and hard but its 100 degrees so that's what you should expect. Scenery isn't too amazing which is why 4 stars instead of 5. 3 decent drives that make you think what club. Basic links style. Ignore the 2 bad reviews. They are just wrong according to what I played today. It's impossible to go from as bad as they describe to what I saw today in a matter of a few weeks.

Love this public course for our beginning golfer. You cannot beat the friendly staff and small town feel. We love that they hosted our PR golf team this year. Thank you!

The course was just OK. Pace of play was slow and the range was rough. Lots of bare spots in the fairways, but the greens were generally good. It felt like a typical municipal/public golf course with very little polish.

Pretty wet the day I played and the grass was just basically packed down dormant bermuda. Greens were rather slow. A lot of bare areas around the course. Traps were wet and muddy. Layout is fine. Conditions weren't very ideal.

Very nice and well maintained golf course. The view was amazing! It costs 60 dollars for 18 holes.

The golf course layout is pretty solid, nice driving range with a separate putting green and chipping green which was very nice... The course condition was horrible and very sad for a course with the name national, the pro shop had about nothing to choose from so not really clear on what's going on at this course but I'll never go back that's for sure
