In summary

The Golf Club at Star Fort is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, challenging layout, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for golfers of various skill levels. Many appreciate the recent improvements and renovations, particularly the greens and fairways, although some note that the cart paths are in need of repair and certain areas of the course require further attention. While the overall experience is positive, a few visitors have reported issues with customer service and course management.

Even though we are beginning to get into fall the course was in really good shape. I really liked the clubhouse. The fairways are tree lined but wide so it’s easy to keep the ball in play. The greens were receptive but very fast. I love greens that have a lot of undulation which these do. We had a really good time. I highly recommend playing The Fort.

The course was in really good condition. The tees and fairways were excellent and the greens, still a bit young, we're in good shape. The only downside is the cart paths are in disrepair. It was a fun and challenging course we intended to play again very soon.

Played The Fort Club for the first time last week. The course was in excellent condition going into the Fall season. While the rough on some holes was a bit deep making it difficult to find your ball from an errant shot, playing back into position, even from long rough was very manageable. The greens were extremely quick (which I prefer) and in excellent condition. They were receptive to approach shots and rolled very consistent and true. The current owners and Professional team are on the right track for the future. The Fort Club is a must play destination club.

First off...nice layout & golf rates are fair. Fairways, bunkers decent. Some greens need major attention obviously but most are fast and true. Cart paths rough, especially #10. Green on #16 should be redone entirely (poorly designed). Maybe a few more rakes for some bunkers. Yet a fun, challenging course with some small protected greens that make shot accuracy a must. Bring your "A" game and the driver that launches straight and long. Lunch menu very pleasantly priced...smash burger outstanding. Overall...with some attention to detail(realizing budgets), this could be potentially a 5 star.

NOTICE to all golfers (UPDATE): Course conditions have improved greatly and now I have started playing this course on a regular basis again. The new holes on the back 9 are different, but in a good way. The greens for these two holes are very challenging and will test your putting/chipping skills. Well done to the maintenance crew, designer and also the owner(s) for taking the time to bring this course back to life. Including an updated picture of the same green shown in my previous review. As you will see, this course is ready for you to go play.

We played 18 this past week while member/guest was going on at our home course. The course is well maintained. The cart paths are getting replaced and are currently a bit of a mess as expected. Overall, it was a great experience and we will be coming back.

The course was ok not great, patches were everywhere and there wasn’t a cart path just a dirt rock road most of the time, the people and the service is absolutely horrible they have no respect for younger guys whatsoever especially the older guy that works up front. Me and my friend went to play and we walked in and he paid first then I walked up paid to play plus a golf cart fee and I was waiting for the key and he looked at me like I was dumb so I asked where’s the golf cart keys and he said if your playing with someone else you have to pay the golf cart fee and you don’t get a golf cart so…

Played 9/18/24. Greens and fairways are in great shape. Pace of play is always pretty good. Layout is fun and challenging. Tee boxes are a bit hard, but well maintained otherwise. Cart paths need some love, but it's on their to-do list. Would recommend to anyone in the area. Great value and great course!

Had a wonderful round at The Fort Club this morning. Nice open layout that is friendly to golfers of all skill levels, greens were rolling smooth and very well maintained other than 1 or 2 holes that have areas under repair. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, especially the lady running the grill! My experience was worth every penny! This place is a hidden gem that is only getting better after the recent renovations!

Some Guy who claims to work here, came up to me and my husband & said “I know you guys are beginners, and pointed at me & said I know you didn’t pay to play, but can you guys speed it up” I said I did pay to play. How does he knows we are beginners? And how would he know I didn’t pay? Because I’m a woman? I want my money back , he ruined the entire experience. Mind you they had 5 groups all go at 9:50am We let many groups go ahead of us. Whoever this guy is , he is horrible & should not be working here. Or claiming he does. Super demeaning. I want my refund.
