In summary

The Golf Club of Florissant receives praise for its friendly and accommodating staff, as well as its challenging layout with numerous blind shots that many find enjoyable. However, the course condition is frequently criticized, with concerns about hard fairways and tee boxes, as well as inconsistent maintenance. Additionally, some visitors experience slow pace of play and express frustration with course management, particularly during busy times.

Course condition is subpar, many rock hard tee boxes and lots of fairways under repair. That being said, the staff was friendly and helpful and the rate to play 18 on a Friday is unbeatable. Some holes felt pretty challenging. I also really didn’t like the course layout, it’s a confusing overlapping maze. No range balls is also a bummer. It’s also a hard hilly walk, so be prepared for some exhausting golf if you opt out of a cart. Overall a course that needs extra maintenance saved by very reasonable pricing and friendly staff.

Fairways hard as concrete and tee boxes that you need a drill to be able to set your tee. Save your money and go somewhere else. Staff was great. 3/4 holes have tee boxes closed and you have to tee in the fairway. 70% of tee shots are blind shots. Boring all around.

Very playable course, greens in good shape, some Fairways a little bit iffy overall not a bad track, lots of uphill shots to some greens and lots of downhill shots to some greens.

Nice course to play at whether it's 9 holes or 18.

florissant is fun and cheap. its not the best course ever but the layout is very unique. greens feel nice to putt on but the fairways and tee boxes can be a bit of a miss. the par 3s really are some of the more enjoyable par 3s that exist in stl.

Not in great shape on 10/21/25 but i could see it being a 4star course, and 5star value

We were very disappointed when we tried to play this course. It has a very nice entry sign which implies a nicely designed well manicured but this was not the case. First there is really no place like a driving range. Off the First Tee is a green you can practice on and there's a net where basically one person at a time can hit a ball into a net. We teed off behind a foursome that was so slow I considered calling for an ambulance because I assumed one or more of them must have died. After an hour we had played three holes and we're now waiting on the 4th tee. We decided to go around them only…

I’m not going to go into all the details because I’m not trying to just rag on this course and this post would be too long, but I’ve been playing golf in the St. Louis area since the mid-90s, and I’ve played almost every course within 100 miles and I’ll just say I feel extremely generous giving this track two stars. For just a buck shy of $40 on a weekday, you can play at quite literally almost any other course in the region and get a better round for your money. And it’s not just the (extremely rough) condition of the course that makes it not a great round. Because of the location of the cour…

Not sure what pace of play here is but 5 hours and 30 minutes feels like a long round for this course. Multiple groups backed up with 5 somes allowed. No Marshall to be found. Course was okay. Greens need some love

best overall course in the north county area. challenging yet fair, and the landscaper worked hard to keep it in good shape. the staff are always extremely friendly and accommodating. you feel like visiting a good friend every time we go to the clubhouse. we played here at least once a week for the past year. I would highly recommend it.

I went there to play in a golf tournament for Canines of America. The staff that was helping with the tournament were remarkable over the top with helping out and making sure that the players had anything they needed. It was the best golf club that I played at where the staff was just awesome. I've been playing golf for over 20 years.

When checking in the gentleman checking everyone was quick and great. Started on time , just waiting for the group ahead of us to finish. Everything going great till we got to the 4th hole and were told the ladies in the group behind us called up to the desk and wanted to go past me and my friend. Ok??? No problem? While they were still half way done with there 3rd hole, which made us sit there for about 25-30 minutes so they could finish and tee off at hole 4 and also hole out of the par 3. Very inconsiderate group of ladies that told us to learn a new sport driving past us. Over all a great…
