What People Say

In summary

Emerald Greens Golf Course is praised for its well-maintained greens, challenging layout, and scenic setting, making it a favorite for many golfers. The course is noted for its affordability, although some visitors find the drive and amenities less appealing. Common criticisms include the slow pace of play and reports of unfriendly customer service in the pro shop. The course is closing soon as the land has been purchased by the Saint Louis Zoo.

Course is in good shape. No complaints there. However, customer service is an issue. There is a middle aged man working in the proshop who seems to be upset with life. Maybe it's the drive through north county's finest to get to the course that puts him in a bad mood. Hopefully they sell the land to the zoo soon and put him out of his misery.

Awsome lay out. Shot makers course. Guy working the pro shop walked us through the holes and told us lay up distances and hidden water hazards. Course was in great shape. For 30 bucks you have to play this if your in St. Louis. I live in Chicago and this course would be at least 80 bucks if not more.

Course is in moderate shape. Would be helpful if pro shop associate would let you know that you're starting on the back 9 before you start. Greens were very slow as people were out drowning them in water which was slowing the pace of play. Decent food in pro shop. If you're not in the fairway, best of luck either finding your ball or hitting out of the "rough"/mud. Glad I found a deal on golfnow to play because paying regular fees for this course is a shame.

Played in July of 2017. Condition was better than expected. Greens were very slow, but that is fairly common in STL area this time of year. Layout is interesting, fun, and somewhat challenging. Why only 2 stars??? Because the staff could not be more rude... Seriously, don't offer play to the public if you don't want anyone there.

Great golf course. But the Saint Louis Zoo has bought the land to use for animal breeding and possibly a Safari Park. Last day for golf course is August 31, 2018

The course is great, but the people that work there, not so much. They stack tee times too so prepare for a long day. I probably won't be back.

Great course that has beautiful scenery, well maintained, and you will use every club in your bag. A personal favorite in STL! Affordable too!

The reviews of the guy working in the pro shop being mad at life at spot-on. He would do well to remember that there are lots of places to play golf at the same price point......
