In summary

The Groves Golf and Country Club is appreciated for its well-maintained greens and fairways, friendly staff, and enjoyable short course layout, with some visitors highlighting the beautiful setting and wildlife. However, there are repeated concerns about the value for money, especially given the course's shorter length and ongoing construction affecting play. Customer service experiences have been mixed, with some guests reporting dissatisfaction with staff interactions and course policies.

We loved this course! I thought it was very well maintained compared to the other public courses around. No trash. Beautiful greens. Spotless restrooms. It was fun working on our short game with the shorter holes. Well done!

The fairways and greens were in decent condition, but that alone doesn’t justify a $60 price tag for a short course with an unplayable hole. Hole 14 was under construction, and this was not disclosed when I booked my tee time. We were also paired with a member whose constant, unsolicited commentary on club selection and shot decisions made the round unnecessarily frustrating and detracted from the overall enjoyment of the game. Between the course limitations and an overall experience that didn’t reflect the cost, this round fell well short of expectations. There are better values and more en…

This course was recommended by a guy I met at another course. I recently decided to check it out and the front nine wasn’t to bad but the back nine wasn’t to good. The greens seemed to be in decent shape since it looks like they aerated them a few weeks ago. The greens were very fast! The fairways and rough need some work on most off the holes!

This is not a golf. More like an executive course. Only 4,000 yds from the back tees. They overcharge and you get 17 holes and 15 tee boxes. One hole is closed which they did disclose before we booked and they charged $57 for this excuse for a golf course. Do not recommend nor will I ever return.

Didn't know it was located in a retirement community but the food & service were both quite good

Good short course with some challenging holes. Disappointed one hole was closed as stated when we paid. But two other tee boxes were closed and moved closer. One hole was 43 yards. Overall I look forward to playing there again when the finish repairs.

This is my first Google review. The worst golf experience of my life! I’ve been playing golf for 32 years. I’ve never been treated so poorly by a business in my life. To make matters worse the golf course is a total mess. Never again!

The golf course was in terrible condition. 14th hole was closed for repair and three tee boxes were closed for new sod and seeding. Cost to play 18 with cart was $57.28 with tax. Way too much for an executive course with 8 par threes. Not worth it!!

The greens and fairways were in very good condition and we were made to feel welcomed by the staff. They had some pretty fun wildlife too.

Fairly priced for a shorter course. Greens were in excellent condition, but were extremely slow. Fairways were in pretty rough condition, which was surprising given how good reviews are for this place. Pace of play was excellent. Played 18 holes in 2.5 hours. Overall would come back, just wish the fairways were in better shape. They are just dirt in a lot of areas.

I lived here for a while, and my parents also live here. The grounds are beautiful.Well, maintainedThe clubhouse is always fun, and there's always great activities to do. Lots of walking trails and dog parks, and a ton of nature to enjoy: deer, hawks, sandhill cranes, gators to name a few...just beautiful!
