In summary

The Hideout offers a well-maintained and scenic 9-hole golf course that many find enjoyable and challenging, especially with its narrow fairways and beautiful foliage. However, some visitors have reported negative experiences with the staff, citing issues with hospitality, particularly towards non-members, and concerns about the course's accessibility and condition. The course is private, and guests must be accompanied by a member, which has led to some confusion and dissatisfaction among visitors.

Went here for a nice outing to play golf with my friends. Didn’t even make it one hole before we were verbally yelled at by the park ranger and the pretentious players. We were also followed by the park ranger for every hole. He rolled his eyes at us and gave attitude when we were doing nothing wrong and watched us for the remainder of the holes. Very pretentious atmosphere considering it’s a cheap golf course in pennsylvania….

Unbelievable how rude and disrespectful the staff was, especially the pro shop and rangers. My son is a junior PGA member and we were looking forward to a relaxing 9 holes while on vacation. Instead, we were accosted every 30 minutes and accused of holding up play (my son is only 11 years old) and “breaking the rules”. After we finished we found out why they were relentlessly harassing our group: we came in as guests, not members. Here I am thinking that xenophobia has no place on a golf course but it’s alive and well at this place. Even telling them that I am a veteran didn’t nudge their comm…

I was looking forward to golfing here with my dad and my uncle, who was a veteran. I expectation were great until we were being followed by multiple park Rangers and grounds keepers. Eventually, they came up to us and said we were moving to slow even though we weren't holding up anybody behind. They then kept tailing us, which was triggering my uncles ptsd. This caused him to panick and start yelling on the course. We tried to finish up our but my uncle could not calm down. On the last hole, he went to look for his ball by the water and slipped in because of how soggy and moist the grass was.…

We showed up ready to have a nice father son day for the holiday week. We quickly realized they were not welcoming to guests. We were looked down upon due to not being members. We were verbally harassed and stalked every other hole by multiple different Rangers. I have been playing golf for over 30 years and have never been treated in such an aggressive and disrespectful manor. Thanks for ruining my day with my son. It will be a day we remember forever, but for a negative reason, not positive.

Can confirm the staff is full of self entitled, overbearing individuals who have a clear hatred towards guests. Keep in mind this is not Augusta, but a cheap nine hole course at best. Let’s keep this hideaway hidden. It’s awful.

During my golf adventure today, I was verbally harassed by Marilyn and some of the rangers. The course was very soggy and muddy everywhere no matter where I went. I went with a few of my buddy’s and it was an experience to forget. The course was very hilly and difficult terrain. There was bugs everywhere near the grass. If one of my buddy’s hit there ball off the course we just gave up on it because there was a swamp around the course and it was impossible to retrieve the balls without ruining my shoes with cost 200$. There was a lot of distractions such as lawn mowers (on the course) and cons…

My husband and sons were looking forward to a nice father son golf outing only to be verbally harassed by the staff and rangers. Apparently this is not an inclusive atmosphere unless your a member. Would not recommend this golf course or community.

Highly recommended so long as you thrive in a militaristic environment and have no expectations of an enjoyable outing. The woman at the pro shop makes "Karen" seem like mother Theresa and the rangers will make sure any semblance of a good time is snuffed out. Save yourself hours of torture and set fire to your $25 for a more pleasurable time, you have been warned.

Beautiful 9 hole course. Not long, but narrow and just enough challenge to keep it interesting. And when the foliage comes, the fairways are breathtaking. It's a private course, not a public one though.

It's a joke, first of all it's private to the gated community. Also you have to.br a member in good standing in the community, as in your yearly dues are paid in full by March, in order to participate in any event there, including golf. You can't even eat at the restaurant on premise of.your dues aren't paid in full or if you have any outstanding ridiculous "fines" from the community that you haven't paid off yet, even though you are spending your own money to eat there. Your guests can't do anything there unless a fully paid member is with them, that includes something as silly as getting a d…

This is a fun little 9 hole course. Makes for a relaxing time. You can walk it or take a cart. It's maintained nicely as well.
