In summary

The Links at Norman Golf & Athletic Club offers a challenging and fun course layout with some well-maintained areas and friendly staff, making it appealing to certain players. However, many visitors express concerns about the inconsistent course conditions, confusing layout, and issues with staff and pricing, which detract from the overall experience. The lack of amenities like a driving range and alcohol sales, along with reports of poor customer service, are also noted as areas needing improvement.

First time to play this course today with a tee time of 1:45 PM. I payed for 18 holes and a cart which was $68 — wow! The price was not worth the course. Very nice course at a municipal level and not busy. Price should be around $50 tops. Anyway, after 9 holes I was done playing. It was warm and humid and I wanted to go eat. This course would not offer me a rain check or a refund for the back 9. One employee did not even know what a rain check was. I will never be returning. Do yourselves a favor and play elsewhere. No driving range and they do not sell alcohol.

Literally couldn't tell the difference between the rough and the rest of the course. I thought it was closed down as I pulled up, the course was in such bad shape, especially the first few holes. Found multiple piles of dog feces. The signage was covered in weeds, or non-existent, leaving us lost on multiple holes. For the price, I expected much, much more. Won't be back.

The course is in good shape, it’s challenging and narrow, but fun. There’s no starter and no marshal so your experience may vary depending on who’s playing when you’re there.

Warning: the staff and management at the links are fraudsters. They sell prepaid rounds of golf through the golfnow app, then find excuses not to honor the purchase and provide the round as paid for. It’s a scam. Also the condition of the course is awful and the holes are laid out in a confusing way. Avoid this place.

I just learned of this course, do yourself a favor and go play it. Great price, great people, great course, great golf carts. I love this place. Please keep in mind that you won’t see Tiger or Phil at this course but you will see people who like to play golf. Not a 200.00 green fee course but for me and my skill set it is all that and a bag of chips.

The course was in decent shape, the layout is one of the most ridiculous layouts I have ever seen in my 50 years of playing golf( you definitely need GolfLogix to navigate). You have residents just walking in front of tee box’s with no concern or respect of golfers. It’s a Happy Gilmore atmosphere, music blaring from boom boxes, to include walkers and car riders, no golf etiquette by any means. Not worth the expense, will not play there again.

Easily the worst course I have ever played. The greens were half dead, and some didn’t have grass in several sections. Other parts of the greens were so soft that green shoes left foot prints. There was a large pile of sand sitting in the middle Of the 14th green. The fairways were rock hard and several other spots were completely waterlogged. They didn’t even have rakes for the bunker. The Marshall rolled up to us and parked his cart on the fringe to tell us we were too close to the green. He then pulled our cart key out of the ignition and told us to walk the rest of the course. Overall very…

We booked online, it showed 30$ a person for students. I paid the 5$ booking fee and was told I’d pay 65$ when I got there. When we arrived the lady was on the phone with another customer telling them that their prices online are wrong and even for students it’s 35$ now. When we go to the front to pay we showed our student IDs and she said “oh you have to be a student at OU”. NOWHERE ONLINE DOES IT SPECIFY THAT YOU HAVE TO BE AN OU STUDENT, not just any college student. So not only did we end up having to pay the full price, 100$, but it ended up being even more than what is advertised online…

Played here this past weekened, 9/11/2022, for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised at the course. Especially after reading some of the reviews. First let me say that this is not a long course, so if you are a shorter hitter, its going to be right for you. The condition of the course was above "par" compared to most all of the OKC city courses. Greens are quite small, and were recently aerated, so they were playing a bit bumpy, however, the rest of the course was in great shape. Hole #15 is one of the more difficult holes I have played, next to maybe # 3 at Surrey Hills or #4 at roman no…

Course is cheap for an obvious reason: fairways in terrible shape, large divot holes in almost every green, sandy tee boxes, etc. Staff was extremely rude when resolving issues; one of the worst experiences I've ever had on a course. Spend the extra $10-20 more and go somewhere you will actually enjoy your experience.

Fairways are poor greens are assisted right now but the grass is loose doubt they actually tighten up after some rain. Or appears that they don't irrigate the fairways. The course is way too tight to even enjoy and you don't need a driver for any hole at all one par 5 is 480 yds and the course marks are inaccurate most holes play 30-40 yds shooter than posted. Won't return to this course had better golf ay cheaper courses.

20% chance of rain today. Poured on us on the 3rd hole and wouldn’t give a rain check. Or let us wait it out. Lady in front office was rude when we asked for one. Course in terrible condition as always. Won’t be back, lesson learned. Don’t come here to golf.
